Congratulations to the 11 Local Governments who have been announced as finalists in the 2024 Most Accessible Communities WA (MACWA) Awards! The City of Albany, City of Armadale, Shire of Augusta Margaret River, City of Greater Geraldton, City of Kalamunda, City of Karratha, City of Melville, Shire of Mount Magnet, Shire of Pingelly, City of Subiaco and City of Swan have all been recognised for their efforts creating accessible and inclusive communities for all Western Australians. WALGA's 2025 State Election Priorities calls for funding to Local Government to improve the physical accessibility of community facilities and infrastructure, ensuring equitable access for all residents.
