We have just made our latest donation for One Tree Planted to plant 281 trees. Castlefirth has been donating to this fantastic non-profit organisation since 2019; each dollar donated = "One Tree Planted" (it does what it says on the tin). To date, One Tree Planted has introduced over 3000 trees on our behalf in the most impactful locations around the world, from Ontario to Brazil to Bhutan. They even provide a receipt and a certificate. Give a Tree is a plantation sponsorship initiative by Thuvakkam through which a medium is provided a chance to make our world a better place by planting & nurturing a tree. The initiative is completely funded where the funding is collected and a plantation drive is organized. Through the Give a Tree initiative, Thuvakkam is collecting donations/funds to plant trees. Day 21; Declutter and Donate Unused Materials Decluttering ones home is not only a practical way to organize our living space but also an opportunity to give back to those in need and promote sustainable consumption. By donating clothing and unused materials, you can extend the lifecycle of items, reduce waste, and support charitable organizations that provide essential resources to individuals and communities. By decluttering and donating items we no longer need or use, we create space for what truly matters and cultivate a sense of simplicity and balance in our lives. For me one very way of doing this, is by giving my younger siblings some of the things I no longer need anymore or reselling at a cheaper rate. It’s more like a normal practice for while growing up. And reading about how it contribute to sustainability today, I am glad I’m on the right part. I also encourage you to be part of this journey. #Eco30Impact

What is #reuserevolution… ✊ It's our mission to turn donating and buying second-hand furniture into a real movement. 💪We want to empower people to buy more second hand furniture and give furniture that may be being upgraded a chance for a second home. But why is this important? Why such passion about something that, on the face of it, doesn’t seem much?🤔 Because when you donate what is an old sofa to you, you give an opportunity for someone else to give it a new home. Buying at a really cost-effective price in our warehouse or through us giving it away via our provision funds, you give a child somewhere to sit rather than the floor, a person escaping domestic violence a chance to rebuild their life and a new home. Green Growth: The Success of MFS-India's Organic Kitchen Garden Initiative The first phase of our Organic Kitchen Garden initiative at MFS-India has been an inspiring success. We've achieved a remarkable milestone, donating a total yield of 535 kgs of pesticide-free vegetables to local shelters, old age homes, and orphanages, benefiting a wide range of recipients including roadside-living poor families, residents of aged care facilities like Dulcine Pius Memorial Home for the Aged and institutions like Apang Vidyalaya.
