In 1974, our brand Weidemann GmbH introduced its now famous “Weidemann Hoftrac,” establishing an equipment category of its own. This compact, powerful, and highly maneuverable machine was specifically developed to drive into farm buildings and mechanize hard manual labor. As it celebrates its 50th anniversary, the Hoftrac is well-known as a versatile multi-tool in the agriculture industry. We congratulate Weidemann GmbH on this success story, five decades in the making! More information at: https://lnkd.in/gDdvAzAu #weidemann #hoftrac #wackerneusongroup

CONNECTING THE NODES/DOTS A SNAPSHOT OF CLAAS' GLOBAL NETWORK AND CORE COUNTRIES May 2015 - June 2024 In the following example we looked at the ecosystem in which the German manufacturer CLAAS is embedded, identifying core ties across 85 different countries. The whole process took 5 minutes based on our AGCUMEN data. The table shows the main countries of CLAAS in the past 9 years, based on the size of the local ecosystem (number of organizations) in which the company is embedded. Of course these dynamics have changed since the Russian invasion in Ukraine. Below you will find a table of complementary companies that CLAAS works closely with, e.g. with AMAZONEN-WERKE H. DREYER SE & Co. KG and HORSCH when it comes to piggy backing each other in international markets. When you go to a CLAAS dealer the likelihood is very high that you see these brands of which the majority are German. It also includes partners such as Liebherr Group (for wheel loaders), and e.g. Carraro Group when it comes to components or even narrow tractors (Agritalia). Finally, we show the core network of relationships that CLAAS is embedded into globally (obviously a bit obscured in order not to give out too many insights ;o) Behind each and every relationship are thousands of developments of the past few years, aggregated into one overview. We know the micro developments behind the network, however the idea here was to aggregate them into one macro overview. Understanding, in real time, the networks in which companies are embedded is vital for developing and implementing strategy, but also making better informed decisions. Welcome tomorrow !!! #TheFutureOfIntelligence #EcosystemIntelligence Farm Table #AGCUMEN

THE TIES THAT BIND A SNAPSHOT OF CLAAS' GLOBAL NETWORK AND CORE COUNTRIES May 2015 - June 2024 Imagine you could, within seconds/minutes, get access to long term data for over 60,000 core organizations in agriculture and related technology, including the entire value chain of suppliers, intermediaries (importers/distributors/dealers), universities, and all other relevant stakeholders within the ecosystem. Every spray is a complex balance between chemistry, machine settings, and on-field conditions. For 80 years, growers have been forced to find this balance, essentially wearing a blindfold. AgZen is taking the blindfold off this season and letting growers see and control their coverage as they drive for the first time! #RealCoverage #precisionagriculture #agtech World Agri-Tech

Definitely the future. Do have some questions in regards to scale and cost though. Seems this large of a machine would have to be moved from orchard to orchard (non-autonomously). Perhaps same idea in smaller scale and affordability would allow for a machine per orchard that never has to be moved.
This week at the World Ag Expo, John Deere and GUSS Automation debuted the world’s first and only fully electric, autonomous herbicide orchard sprayer. This is big for farmers whose crops grow on trees and vines. This new sprayer does more with less – increasing producers’ productivity and returns. Our collaboration with GUSS has always been underscored with the deep need to provide orchard farmers with everything they need to succeed in the modern world. Kudos to everyone who was a part of this spectacular project – I’m so excited to see the impact this will have for our customers. https://lnkd.in/gGiy-KHT

Exciting Announcement at FIMA! Introducing KFAST, FEDE's Latest Autonomous Spraying Concept. We are excited to share a new product at FIMA this year – the unveiling of the new autonomous spraying concept, KFAST! Developed through a collaborative effort between Kubota, FEDE (Pulverizadores Fede), and other partners, this concept is set to change precision spraying in large specialty crop plantations. KFAST provides the ability to apply high-precision treatments, adjusting spray volume on a tree-by-tree basis and even at a sub-tree level, depending on the needs of the crop. Launch Details: The unveiling will take place at FIMA (Zaragoza, Spain), where a dedicated team will introduce KFAST to a select audience, including employees, media representatives, dealers, and valued customers. Post-launch, the concept will be showcased at the FEDE booth for a closer look at the future of precision agriculture. Make sure to check it out if you are visiting the event. #Innovation #PrecisionAgriculture #AgTech #FIMA2024 #Kubota #FEDE #KFAST #Sustainability

This is an important step in alternative management practice adoption. The need is there.
We all hate weeds; farmers even more so! So when we see weeds get zapped by lasers - there’s a sense of satisfaction. I was really impressed to see Carbon Robotics unit #25 at work this week at Braga Fresh Family Farms, where the International Fresh Produce Association Fresh Catalyst startups learned about the #regenerativeag approach from Eric Morgan. The unit economics work for weeding automation in fresh produce: the laser #weeder substitutes for a weeding crew that’s paid $1000/hr, as well as costs for herbicide applications. This week the EPA banned the use of the weed killer #dacthal. A win for worker safety & consumers, a [short term] burden on farmers, and a upside for #agtech on automated weed control. Braga Fresh Family Farms is already ahead of the game!
