Well-groomed hair has always been a sign of health and prosperity. Until the early 20th century, women - and men, too, during certain periods and in certain regions - had to prepare their own haircare products, since ready-to-use shampoos or conditioners were still unknown. For example, in earlier times, many Asian women used rice husk ash, coconut or almond oil, and masks of honey and flour to make their hair glossy and supple. In the 18th century, the European nobility took burdock root tea, rosewater, nettle juice, soapwort, egg yolk or vinegar. Now, even commoners can simply reach for the bottle: modern haircare products with silicone fluid emulsions from WACKER make the hair supple, glossy and easy to comb. The BELSIL® trademark represents an extensive range of high-quality silicones especially for personal-care applications. They provide specific properties, such as softness, a silky surface, gloss, hold, bright colors, long-lasting effect, and moisturizing properties. #haircare #silicones #personalcare
