Good perspective. But: It is important to be certain the screening is actually getting done, not just that patients enroll on a trial. For example you can’t benefit if the colonoscopy isn’t done in an intent-to-screen analysis that includes patients who never get the screening. https://lnkd.in/e-6URp57 Doing more cancer screening won't reduce Black-white health disparities https://lnkd.in/ewBDji-5

Getting comfortable with buprenorphine is quite a learning curve, but it’s game-changing when your patients need it. Nausea, cachexia, failing feeding tube, metastatic cancer. When a case is loaded with multiple hair-pulling factors, you’d wish there was an opioid that is relatively fast-acting and can be absorbed transmucosally. The answer may just be buprenorphine. ——————— 💊 Daily Pain Dose: For those rebels reading up to this point, you might be thinking rectal morphine. It is 100% doable, but how do you explain this unconventional route of administration to a patient who’s already so flustered with cancer? #PainManagement #Hospice #OpioidStewardship

Early detection and diagnosis are crucial to successfully treating oral, head and neck cancers. When detected at stages I and II, the survival rate is over 80%; however, more than half of all cases are found later. At more advanced stages, survival rates are lower, treatments are more invasive, and the side effects of treatment are much more significant. Get a free cancer screening in Sacramento, CA! While India has lower breast cancer incidence compared to the USA, we tragically lose exponentially more lives each year, with only 50% surviving. In contrast, in the USA, only 15% are lost to breast cancer. The primary reason is that in India, diagnosis often occurs at later stages, resulting in premature loss of lives. This can and must be improved through increased awareness and proactive health measures. #breastCancer #statistics #prevention
