🎉 Employee Spotlight: Celebrating Maria O’Connor’s’ Appointment as Marketing Director, Americas! 🎉 🎤 Blitz Interview with Maria: Insights into #LifeAtStoli What initially drew you to Stoli, and how has your journey been since joining the company? I had the opportunity to work on STOLI and Elit over 15 years ago when the brands were already considered the benchmark for flavored vodkas and for defining the ultra-premium vodka category. Learning more about the relaunch of STOLI and the company’s expanded portfolio drew me back. My journey this past year has been fast paced and dynamic, offering new challenges and opportunities every day. Can you share a memorable moment or project during your time at Stoli that stands out to you? Recently, our first in person Americas Marketing team meeting was memorable. Getting to know each other and enjoying several meals together on a more informal basis allowed for a bonding opportunity, strengthening the overall camaraderie, and building trust: all important principles to driving collaboration and success of the team. How would you describe the culture and work environment at Stoli? Dynamic entrepreneurial spirit is how I would describe Stoli’s culture and environment. Through creativity, determination and passion, individuals can make impactful decisions daily to drive the business forward. We have a wonderfully talented and diverse group at Stoli. Together, we can achieve remarkable results. In what ways has Stoli supported your professional development and growth? After initially coming onboard as Regional Marketing Leader, I found myself in a unique position to transition into a leadership role which has given me more responsibility and exposure to the Executive Team. Developing the short and long term marketing strategy for our team has been a challenging and rewarding experience, allowing me the opportunity for both professional and personal growth. How does Stoli foster a sense of community among its employees? At Stoli, we are committed to working together, fostering a sense of belonging and cultivating an environment of trust. A recent team building experience reinforced this spirit where we respected different viewpoints and made sure everyone's voice was heard. What advice would you give to someone considering a career at Stoli or entering a similar industry? The wine & spirits industry is a highly rewarding and convivial environment. Have the desire to learn, meet as many people as possible and expose yourself to the various facets of the industry. Commit yourself and have fun. #LifeAtStoli #EmployeeSpotlight #CongratulationsMaria

🦞 Happy World Lobster Day! 🦞 Today holds a special place in my heart and my personal journey. I started the day playing my own character “Lobsy” in the Bubble Ranger game reflecting on how life, like design, is full of transformations. It’s fascinating to think that in the 1770s, lobster was considered a “poor man’s meal,” reserved for prisoners, apprentices, and enslaved people due to its abundance. Later it was “soldiers food” with WW2. Fast forward to today, and it’s now a delicacy, symbolizing luxury and celebration. This shift reminds me that life is all about perspective and change. Just like the evolution of lobster’s status, our own journeys are filled with unexpected turns. We may not always win at everything we desire, but it’s those changes and challenges that help us grow, redefine ourselves, and find new meaning in what we do. Today, I’m celebrating all the Lobsy moments—the small yet significant steps that shape our unique paths. Let’s honor our personal growth and resilience, and embrace the transformations life and design bring, because today is the day of the lobster! Wishing everyone a day filled with gratitude, joy, and a dash of Lobsy spirit! #WorldLobsterDay #CelebrateWins #Resilience #PersonalProjects #BubbleRanger #LobsyJourney #CreativeLife #Transformation #DesignEvolution #lobsy #bubbleranger

🌱 **Inspired or Intimidated by Others’ Success?** I’ve watched some of my childhood friends achieve incredible milestones in their careers and businesses, turning dreams into reality. It’s inspiring to see. - Steven Kolose: Awarded the International Ergonomics Association Kingfar Award as one of the top early career ergonomists in the world. - Henry Onesemo: Owner of the award-winning restaurant Tala, recently named New Restaurant of the Year. Seeing their accomplishments lights a fire in me, but I won’t pretend I’m immune to the urge to compare. It’s natural to start measuring their success against mine. But comparison, I’ve learned, can kill inspiration. Instead, I choose to be inspired. I choose to celebrate their journeys, learn from their stories, and let their successes remind me of the endless possibilities ahead. The key here is that I choose. #Inspiration #PersonalGrowth #CelebrateSuccess #ChooseInspiration #LearningFromOthers #GrowthMindset #StayInspired

Shhh 🤫… did you know that one of Puerto Rico’s best kept secrets as a top employer is Plaza Provision Company. We do not self promote. So, I want to let you into our secret. Our CEO is one of the humblest and well-intentioned leaders you’ll ever meet. Our employee tenure average is at 26 years of service with many surpassing that. Our turnover is less than 3%. And yes, we promote from within for vertical and horizontal mobility and development. So, why do our employees stick around so long. For one, balance and quality of work and life. As California proposes a new bill, giving “Workers the Right-to-Disconnect from Non-Emergency Business Calls and Texts After Hours”, Plaza Provision already respects its employees’s free time. We know there is much more to life than just work and we want our employees to enjoy it. Our company culture is respectful and relax. And it doesn’t hurt that you can snack on the products we distribute during the day like Snickers, Oreo cookies and for the healthier pallet, Kind Bars with some ☕️. If you’re interested in knowing more about our company or career opportunities as we continue growing, check out our web page: https://lnkd.in/eF3f9924 😉.

"Indiana… wine country? When most of us think about wine, our minds go to Napa Valley or maybe the rolling vineyards of Europe. But Oliver Winery, the 30th largest winery in the U.S., is proving that exceptional wine can come from unexpected places—like Bloomington, Indiana. 🍇🍷 Their state-of-the-art facility and dedication to great fruit and great products have earned them national recognition, including being Newsweek’s #3 Winery Experience in the U.S. Oliver’s new video gives a behind-the-scenes look at what makes this winery so special—and why they’re poised for incredible growth. As CEO Patrick Brown puts it: “You look under the hood, see what’s been built, and think—‘OK, this thing can go.’” Take a moment to see what happens when passion meets innovation. Check out the video and get inspired by what’s possible when you’re committed to excellence, no matter where you start. 👏 #Innovation #Leadership #OliverWinery #ExcellenceInUnexpectedPlaces

Additionally : Tailor Training: Focus on skills relevant to the upcoming busy season or areas where the team needs improvement. Variety of Formats: Consider online courses, workshops, or guest speakers to keep things engaging. Whether in business or in your personal life, keep people in your circle who educate you on new things! My circle talks about business, careers & life…not BS & drama! Find new opportunities to learn…All. The. Time. When I pivoted from tech to the wine & spirits industry, I only knew what I thought I enjoyed to drink. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to learn so much about the industry in the last 1.5 years - taking advantage of all of the opps presented to me. I’ve learned how the industry operates (CA is way different from TX!); how internal teams work to build the business and keep our suppliers happy; what it’s like working with the buyers at stores; how hard the work is of our field employees & portfolio managers; & gained way more knowledge than I could have ever imagined! I’ll tell you this, there’s more behind those wine & spirits displays than you know! I have so much more respect for our field employees because they work hard to make big things happen! Thank you to all of my peers and colleagues at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits for helping me grow! I look forward to what else is in store for me here. And if anyone wonders...the industry really is more than just knowing WHAT I like to drink! #growth #learning #wineandspirits #celebrate2024

The Fundamentals of Hospitality: Celebrate Success Always! Our industry moves at a ferocious pace. Guests come and go, months fly by, targets keep us busy, and it can often be a new year before we know it! We often get caught up with a focus on the next day, the next target, or the next milestone, and we forget to celebrate. Every win is a win, and taking time to measure backward is just as important as looking forward. Never forget the progress you have made as an individual and team, whether big or small. Spending time to celebrate wins is fundamental in building a strong, high-performing and motivated team in the long run! #TheFundamentalsofHospitality #Celebrate #Wins
