One of the worst effects of chronic stress and trauma is…, You become so disconnected from yourself that you depend on external validation. So much so that, you are willing to accept toxic behaviors because you don’t want to lose people from your life. As a result, you surround yourself with people who may not be contributing to your growth, worst still, they could be demoralizing you and pulling you down. Sunday Quote Reflections – Stress Mitigation If you’re like me, you often have a million ideas or things to do swirling in your head. ➡️ Should I do this or that? ➡️ Which will be a better option? ➡️ What happens if I don’t do this or that? We can swirl all the time if we’re not careful. BUT… 💭 We choose our thoughts. We can believe that we’re making the best decision. That’s in our power to think and believe. Let’s try to stop the swirl of thoughts that causes us unproductive stress today. If you can control your negative thinking, you can control everything else in your life. It's easier said than done, right? I can relate firsthand, as no one could be more critical of me than myself. Being a perfectionist at heart and adept at motivating others, I often forget to uplift myself. "A negative thinker finds a thousand reasons why something will fail; a positive thinker focuses on the reasons why it will succeed."
