Upcyclie crossed 1011 orders Internationally. While we are busy counting the amount of waste we convert, this happens happily. I have always wondered how do I attribute revenue/ no. of orders to IMPACT. Does it make sense? I had a discussion about this with Bhuvana akka (the chief of product- she affectionately calls herself "The Boss") She says "Without these numbers, how do we prove? What do we show them as a promise- yes there is money but it's also the joy that even we women are useful, and part of something larger". The number might be small, but our dream sure is bigger. Posting this as we pick up a few hundred kgs more. #ImpactfullGrowth #WastetoWonder

Fascinating insights from Liz Carson here.
Fashion eco brand, Reformation just dropped the"You've Got the Power" line in collaboration with Monica Lewinsky. If you’re a twentysomething, you may be thinking “Monica who?” Monica Lewinsky found herself in the centre of a 90's media storm after her relationship with then-president Bill Clinton was revealed. As a 22 year old White House intern, she became the scandal scapegoat and was publically shamed for decades. Now at 50, she's encouraging us to get out and vote - with style. IMO this brand collaboration works on so many levels: ☑ This campaign reminds women of their voting "power" and backs it up with action via donations and onsite registrations to Vote.org. ☑ Now anti-bulling & harassment activist, Monica reclaims HER power and encourages women to vote in the critical upcoming US election. ☑ Reformation's mission is to prioritize people (“you’ve got the power”) and planet (“your clothes deserve a second chance”) ☑ For years, Monica has been advocating for women to be heard in a culture that still puts them in boxes and be the change they want to see. “Voting is using our own voice to be heard and it’s the most defining - and powerful - aspect of democracy” Younger generations now describe her as "Powerful" "Iconic" "Legend". Way to flip the script Monica. Way to empower change Reformation. #brandcollaborations #marketingcommunications #bethechange

Women have changed the way we live through countless brilliant inventions. These things may never had existed without their innovative and entrepreneurial spirits. I am sure, there are many, many more things invented by women, and, ironically, we don't know most of these facts. We still don't think of women in those sorts of ways, even today. We are still trying to rehabilitate women who took maternity leaves, we are still trying to prove that equal pay for equal work is a right, not a privilege. In extreme cases, we are still shying away from telling men to do the housework and share childcare. It's not wrong to say that whatever women have achieved, is despite being a woman. #womeninbusiness

The sun is setting on #IWD24 and the fire within us needs to become a blaze. It's time to disrupt the narrative, break the molds, and unleash a tidal wave of inspiration that propels women to new heights. Beyond the hashtags and celebrations, let's dive into the trenches, daring to be disruptors and igniters of a firestorm that transcends borders and limitations. 1. Forge Collaborative Frontiers Enough with the dog-eat-dog mentality; it's time to forge bonds of steel. The professional landscape should be a space for collaboration, not cutthroat competition. Imagine the seismic shift we can create when we tear down the walls that pit women against each other. Let's embrace collaboration and co-creation as our mode of operation. Let each woman's success be a victory for all. 2. Roar Louder In the symphony of ideas, let our voices resonate like thunder. Amplify, don't stifle. The next time a fellow women unleashes brilliance in a meeting, be the echo that reverberates her genius. Disrupt the norm by actively ensuring every woman's voice is not just heard but celebrated. It's time to turn up the volumne. 3. Mentorship Revolution Mentorship is not a casual coffee chat; it's a revolution waiting to happen. Rise as mentors, guiding each other through the maze of career complexities. Let's disrupt the status quo, challenging the conventional mentorship dynamic. Reach out a hand and support women on their way. Together, we create an unstoppable force. 4. No More Apologies Success is not a guilty pleasure; it's a force to be reckoned with. Break free from the chains of comparison. Your triumphs are not a threat; they're an inspiration. Let's celebrate all victories without hesitation, unapologetically. It's time to disrupt the tendancy that pits us against each other. Don't fall into this trap. 5. Unmask Unconscious Bias Unconscious bias has lingered in the shadows for too long. It's time to turn the spotlight on it. Let's be the disruptors, challenging perceptions, and rewriting the narrative. By acknowledging and dismantling unconscious biases together, we pave the way for a future workplace that sees talent and potential, not gender. Let's give birth to a future of work that is aligned to all human needs - human centric and designed for today and for genarations to come. As we charge forward from International Women's Day, let's not settle for the ordinary. Disrupt, inspire, and lead the charge. The time for change is now, and we are the architects of a future where women encourage and empower each other not as a trend but as an everyday unstoppable force. Break barriers, roar louder, and let the world witness the seismic shift as we rise, disrupt, and inspire. #wiseUP #Disrupt #womenrising #iwdeveryday A fun look at some inventions from women. Let's 10x this list next year.
