Associates, thank you for another strong quarter. We continue to have momentum as we work together to save our customers and members time and money. I’m impressed by the way you’re supporting each other and stepping up for our communities while at the same time transforming the business for the future. As we look ahead to the holidays, let’s keep up the good work and be there for our customers and members as they bring to life their family traditions, or even start new ones. Your hard work really does make a difference and I’m proud to work alongside you. Thank you.
Great job Walmart
You’re “IMPRESSED” why don’t you try actually careing!! Walmart wasn’t there to support me when I applied for ACNT fund, several times to prevent eviction. I was given every excuse why I wasn’t eligle!! So I lost my home!!! When I applied to help with hotel costs, I was denied. I had no money, no home, caring for dying daughter and working at Walmart 50 hours a week. My daughter was in and out of hospital and Walmart was my home. I too, started health issues from stress. Including mental health issues, which lead to an intermittent FMLOA. OGP had 13 different coaches and leads during my time in OGP. I gave 110% to Walmart going above and beyond. My work ethics are outstanding! As 20+yr olds become coaches/leads, and know nothing of their associates, they terminate with no discussion. Where’s the “OPEN DOOR POLICY?” I’m still waiting to hear from management?? I raised safety concerns as well. new coaches/leads tend to change or rearrange our work area, to something that doesn’t work. I found a home, and could move in last January 1. Unexpectedly, on December 15,2023, I went to work and needed to speak with coach, lead, HR, or management. None were available. After lunch, lead handed me “FINAL STATEMENT OF PAY” 10 days before Xmas!!
Are you OK with this? Here is How Much Walmart gets from China: Most of the United States still heavily relies on Chinese imports, including Walmart. Only roughly 20% of Walmart’s retail products are from US-based suppliers. According to estimates, 70 to 80% of Walmart products are from China, excluding food, meat, and fresh produce.
If you truly believe your Associates deliver your quarterly outcomes, reflect that with; pay, benefits, and equity - not simply a "howdoyado" on LinkedIn.
It can't last, Doug. My Walmart SC used to be my favorite place to shop. But every time I go there these days there are more and more locked cases. I couldn't even buy my winter underwear, for Pete's sake! No, I'm not going to push the button, wait for an associate, and then feel rushed to make up my mind. I like to compare, take my time before deciding. I'm not going to be made to feel like a criminal while I'm shopping. And don't even let me get started on the nightmare at the checkout. You have eight self-checkout stands, of which two or three are open at any given time. But don't think a cashier line is the answer. Lines out the wazoo, cashiers on their cell phones, not paying attention to customers. YUK! If you keep going the way you're going then Amazon is going to get more and more of my business.
Well instead of giving it to share holders it should go to the associates who really get the sales I worked for stores that refused to promote the dedicated associates but promoted the lazy slackers that did nothing . You can’t say anything to management due to fear of retaliation. When you have years of experience I. A area it would make you a great fit but when management had one of there friends going for it there the ones who get the promotion.
Then give you associates a 9.8% pay increase to reflect the sales. Just don't give us a verbal compliment
When I owned my sales rep business back in the 90s WalMart didn't crush us like Target or the roll up of retail across the United States. It did put a lot of smaller accounts and small town main streets underwater. I love change. I'm a rare bird. That's the entrepreneur thing. What I hate is the new boss being worse or the same as the old boss. Thanks Pete to blaze the trail of Who's Next. What's next is Wal Mart. These guys are smart. I remember way back when they started their tech innovation center. Would you rather the Wal Mart evil empire win or the Amazon evil empire dominate. The war of the Bots unleashing the Bot armies will be interesting. My bet is on Wal Mart to stand the test of time. Trying is caring as far as financially bot run corporations go. Be nice to them. Amazon however is a different story. Those people want inside my shorts and to put a chip in my head to deliver my packages faster. Who cares. We need at least one big volume player to keep prices down. Let's go with Wal Mart and pull the Bot plug on Amazon. Wal Mart is serious about wanting to do what it is designed to do! Doug McMillon I think it's an Arkansas thing. Just get er done.
Doug McMillon just wondering how big your bonus was with all of that money and profit coming into Walmart and you congratulate the Associates on hard work when we as consumers are doing the work? There are very little Associates at the stores! You have managers and stockers as well as door greeters that badger you when you walk out of the store because we check ourselves out due to not have someone there to do it ? Let's get real...
