A commendable policy (as per the Sixth Central Pay Commission's recommendation) grants central government employees with disabilities 12 days of leave, including 4 special casual leaves specifically for managing their disability needs. This approach fosters a more inclusive work environment. Why Should States Adopt Special Casual Leaves Policy? 1. Empowerment: Employees with disabilities can better manage medical appointments, therapy sessions, or equipment maintenance with these additional leaves. This empowers them to contribute optimally at work. 2. Accessibility: Taking time off for disability-related needs shouldn't deplete regular leave entitlement. Special casual leaves bridge this gap, ensuring accessibility and participation. 3. Talent Retention: A supportive workplace fosters loyalty. This policy demonstrates a commitment to inclusion, making government jobs more attractive to talented individuals with disabilities. 4. Positive Work Environment: When employees feel supported, morale improves. This can lead to a more positive and productive work environment for everyone. Let's urge all state governments to adopt this impactful policy and empower their employees with disabilities in true sense! #InclusiveWorkplaces #LeaveForDisability #Empowerment
