EVA Green is a sustainable revolution in the world of packaging materials and it is the result of LEGOPLAST's commitment to combining innovation, high performance, and respect for the environment. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲? EVA is a versatile, soft, and durable material that is widely used in various sectors, particularly in the #packaging industry. It is traditionally produced in Asia. For this reason, in order to reduce environmental pollution and transport costs, LEGOPLAST worked with Italian raw material suppliers to create a Made in Italy version. This choice guarantees high quality and it highlights the product's strength, durability, and flexibility. The continuous search for more sustainable solutions led to the development of EVA Green, a biobased variant obtained from the third pressing of sugarcane, a renewable resource that further reduces carbon emissions. The result is a unique product that preserves all excellent properties of traditional #EVA. It's an alternative to materials that are more difficult to recycle, such as PVC, and it adds a touch of elegance and practicality to any packaging. It was reassuring to attend The Finnish Plastics Associations annuall Injection Molding Days, we are going in the right direction! As one of the panelists said "we are actually going to save the world with plastic". This may be hard for the uninformed to fathom. Should that quote sound wrong or even offensive, dig deeper. 📣  For our German-speaking followers: The German magazine K-PROFI reports on us in its current issue about the new potential of rubber powder made from recycled end of life tires.   Every day, around seven million tires are scrapped worldwide. Our new partner Genan, a Danish company that has embraced sustainability, processes several thousand tonnes used tires in various plants every year in order to use the resulting rubber powder in other applications. Cirplus on the road again - this time to FACHPACK! Our Chief Product Officer, Hannes Schwager, and Senior Key Account Manager, Anna Konokova, attended one of Europe's leading trade fairs for packaging, technology and processes in Nuremberg. They came prepared with materials and solutions for plastic packagers who want to prepare for the recycling #quotas of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (#PPWR). With the PPWR on the horizon, there is still considerable uncertainty in the industry, leading many companies to adopt a cautious wait-and-see approach. However, some forward-thinking companies such as DUO PLAST AG, Profol Europe and NEEMANN LiteFlexPACKAGING GmbH & Co. KG are taking proactive steps to lead the way. We look back on fruitful conversations with industry leaders and showcased our digital sourcing solutions for aggregating high quality Cirplus certified recycled #plastics. We also had important discussions with companies based in Asia as part of our expansion strategy, particularly as India's #recycling quotas for packaging come into force by 2025.

At LuxePack, the pair displayed a bottle ⚱of the French natural cosmetics brand's AMANDE® shower oil that was created only through enzymatic recycling. The #container was manufactured via a circularity-focused European value chain🏭, whereby regional PET trash was disassembled into its original monomers and subsequently repurposed into entirely ♻recycled PET resins in Europe. In France, the resins were subsequently blow-molded. By shortening #transportation distances and combining local production and collection procedures, this strategy maximizes the environmental advantages of the #technology and the life cycle analysis (LCA) of each cosmetic product 💄. As a result of this example, similar process chains will be developed globally to satisfy the demands of global #brands.
