5 things nonprofits need to leave behind in 2025, part 3: Generic Event Venues Traditional ballrooms and hotel conference centers are functional but often lack personality. Unique venues that reflect the organization’s mission or local culture can create a more memorable experience and resonate more with attendees. Traditional venues can feel stuffy and cookie-cutter. Costs are often high at these venues, especially with service fees (that sometimes do not even go to the staff but instead to the corporate bottom line).
