As we wrap up National Volunteer Week (April 21 – 27), it's important to recognize all the individuals who help charities through their generous donations of time. It's estimated that 60+ million people volunteer more than 4 billion hours annually. While many are motivated to volunteer, we sometimes hit roadblocks or challenges to achieve this objective. It is likely that time of the year when your organization or company is probably Kicking off their annual United Way campaign. I have donated to the United Way for 15 years. Having seen through various organizations how critical that funding is I would encourage you to participate. Company campaigns are one of the easiest ways to remember your annual giving and support your local non profits. Always remember, you can designate an organization to recieve your pledge and if your Company doesnt have a program to match at least part of your donation encourage them to start one.
