Fish, poultry, and livestock producers in Tanzania and around the world face growing challenges as food demand surges, while feed options for these animals remain limited. Waste-Protein Tech Limited is offering an innovative solution: Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae as an alternative feed. But what sets it apart from traditional options? 1. Resource Efficiency: Uses 95% less water and land. 2. Production Efficiency: Produces 300g or more of protein per kg of larvae. 3. Eco-Friendly: Emits 90% less greenhouse gases. 4. Waste Recycling: Feeds on food waste—no additional feed required. 5. Cost-Effective: More affordable for the farmers. Tanzania wastes over 10 million tons of food annually. By cultivating BSF on this untapped resource, Waste-Protein Tech Limited not only provides a cost-effective feed for the industry but also promotes a circular economy. #animalfeed #farming #livestockfarming #sustainability #venturecapital #entrepreneurship

This sector supports 45 million farmers in developed countries and 1.3 billion in developing nations. Humans started domesticating animals 20,000 years ago. This provided diverse food sources, enhanced mobility, and clothing. Today, the livestock industry meets the global demand for meat and milk. ❗ However, it faces a major challenge ❗ It must increase production while preserving natural resources. It must also maintain diverse agricultural practices and support dependent communities. Livestock populations are shrinking by a few percent a year. Yet unless they fall dramatically — as consumers shift to plant-based diets — there is simply not enough land in Europe to grow all their feed, the report concluded. Of all the plants produced in Europe — for food, feed, textiles, wood, biofuels and bioplastics — 60 percent go to raising farm animals. Over 80 percent of our soybeans, a key feed for pigs, chickens and cows, comes from Brazil and Argentina. Animal farming accounts for 85 percent of EU agricultural emissions. This is what I am talking about, just one of the high value compounds that can be extracted from Asparagopsis, while sucking up carbon from heavy industry.
SeaStock’s Bromoform (CHBr3) has a bright future in the agricultural sector 🌱, helping Australia reach its Net Zero goals 🌏. Bromoform is a sustainable solution that reduces livestock methane by up to 90% 🐄. The Australian Government is supporting the use of feed additives to cut down on harmful methane gases from animals 🐑🌿. Bromoform works by inhibiting methanogenic microbes in the stomachs of ruminants, which leads to lower methane production. This helps reduce the greenhouse gases from livestock farming, making a significant impact on fighting climate change ♻️🌍. #SeaStock #Bromoform #NetZero #Australia #Agriculture #MethaneReduction #Sustainability

As we mark #WorldPopulationDay, it's crucial to highlight how vital the agricultural sector is in feeding an expanding world. Through sustainable agriculture, farmers not only provide food but also work towards reducing waste by feeding co-products to their livestock. Co-products are residual flows from the production processes of food, beverages and biofuels. Livestock farmers use these co-products to feed their cows, pigs and goats, who in turn produce high quality and nutritious protein rich products for human consumption. “𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘶𝘮 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘱𝘰𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯” 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eYcMJEx4 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱, 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 🥛🥩 #Duynie #DuynieFeed #Duyniegroup #Coproducts #sidestreams #livestockfeed #sustainablefeed #circularfood
