🌍 Innovation and Sustainability: The Future of Plastics According to AgriPak 🌱 At AgriPak, we believe technological innovation is the key to building a more sustainable future. For over 30 years, we have been transforming the plastics industry by reducing raw material and energy consumption, improving performance, and minimizing environmental impact. 📌 Flat-head expansion: a technology that reduces plastic density by 10-40%, lowering polymer usage and energy consumption. Lighter, more efficient, and recyclable products with less energy. 📌 Co-extrusion: integrating recycled materials to create high-performing, sustainable products with a virgin material layer for quality and aesthetics. 📌 Monofilament spinning: plastic macrofibers for cement reinforcement, a sustainable alternative that eliminates or reduces the use of iron cages, increasing elasticity and extending structural durability. These technologies are our tangible response to global challenges, delivering both economic and environmental benefits. 🌟 👉 Learn more about our commitment to an eco-sustainable tomorrow! #Innovation #Sustainability #GreenEconomy #PlasticRecycling #AgriPak #Reuse #Reduce #Recycle #ReusablePackaging https://lnkd.in/d649zhHU

Have you considered taking a small, yet significant, step towards safety and sustainability? SUWASO encourages just that. Special thanks to Priya Shah for her enlightening insights shared at the #Kalaari #netzero event. - The world generates 400 million tonnes of plastic waste a year, out of which 60% is disposed in... landfills, or in our natural environment (oceans, forests etc -It is estimated that roughly 40% of the ocean's surface is covered in plastic debris more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2030 - Many marine animals accidentally ingest microplastics. This plastic travels up the food chain - as a result, humans ingest about five grams of plastic every week. #SUWASO Grow | Nourish | Inspire www.suwaso.com

Look at these amazing bags made from upcycled MLPs (food packaging). Yes, upcycled, not recycled. Confused? Let us explain! Upcycling is when you take waste and make something new and better without using industrial processes. At EcoKaari, We cut the waste plastic using just a pair of scissors and the plastic is rolled onto a Charkha and woven on a Handloom into beautiful Upcycled-Handwoven fabrics Our weaving process does not use any heat, chemicals or electricity. Thus enabling Livelihoods for women and youth from humble backgrounds to create these cool bags. Celebrate Happy Upcycling Day by buying our upcycled products and visiting our website. When I started Tejari, sustainability wasn't just a buzzword; it was deeply ingrained in my vision. I knew we had to do things differently, even if it meant sacrificing short-term gains for long-term impact. And as a self-funded founder, every decision felt personal but I know now just how impactful they are: 🌿Finding Partners in Purpose: Working with Whole Foods Market and Erewhon isn't just about distribution; it's about aligning with partners who share our values. 🌿Using Recyclable Polymailers: Every time I hold our 100% recyclable and biodegradable polymailers, I'm reminded of our commitment to the planet. 🌿Moving to plastic-Free Packaging: Saying goodbye to plastic wasn't just a business move; it was a reflection of our values. Our sustainable, eco-friendly pouches are a testament to that. 🌿 Offering Resealable Convenience: Creating resealable pouches wasn't just about practicality; it was about eliminating unnecessary waste. No more reaching for extra plastic bags. 🌿Plant-Powered Passion: Knowing that our plant-based pea protein requires less water and energy brings me joy. Our journey may not be widely known, but every milestone reminds me that purpose-driven growth is not just possible; it's necessary. I’m proud of how far we come but know that we’re not done yet! #happyearthday #sustainability

Suddenly, I came across a news article from three years ago about the "Sonali Bag," a biodegradable alternative to plastic bags made from jute fibre by scientist Mubarak Ahmed Khan. Despite initial excitement and endorsements, commercial production has stalled due to a lack of investment. Mubarak estimates Tk400 crore is needed, but funding has not been secured. The Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) produces only 2,000 bags per day on a trial basis. The Sonali Bag has the potential to reduce plastic pollution significantly. It's time for the government and private sector to support this innovative solution for a sustainable future. #SonaliBag #Sustainability #Innovation #PlasticPollution #EcoFriendly #Jute #GreenTechnology #Bangladesh #EnvironmentalImpact #Investment #CleanFuture
Why hasn’t the Sonali Bag taken off as yet?
