Driving Access to Sustainable Water Supply in Kamwenge Hand Pump Mechanics in Kamwenge organised under the Kamwenge District Water and Maintenance Association (KADWAMA), are making a significant impact by helping to rehabilitate, maintain and repair water sources and advancing sanitation services in Kamwenge District. Through Water For People’s Everyone Forever model, we have partnered with KADWAMA, recognized by the kamwenge district Local Government, to ensure regular maintenance and repair of point water sources (handpumps) We have also empowered a hardware shop in each subcounty to stock various spare parts needed to fix wear and tear and keep the point water sources running. Central to this collaboration is the #Water #As #A #Business (#WAAB) strategy, which implements a #pay-#as-#you-#fetch model at point water sources (handpumps).
