Today is World Toilet Day. Each year, the United Nations chooses a theme to commemorate this day, and this year’s theme is “Sanitation for Peace”—underscoring the importance of resilient, effective, and accessible water and sanitation for all communities. With threats like climate change, regional conflicts, and aging infrastructure on the rise, many lack access to these basic services. We hope you take some time today to think about how vital water and sanitation are not only to your own community and livelihood, but to the global community as well.
