Long before Tride Design Studio was even founded, Darko was looking for ways to make place sustainability at the core of his design process. Oxi-gen is one of these projects. The idea was to design furniture that can be made with a simple manufacturing proces and various panel materials. The result is a collection of objects that: - are easy to make with minimal material waste (that can be efficiently recycled) - made from single panel material (plastic, composite materials or metal) - easy to customize by applying different colors, textures and surface treatment processes - Efficient for packaging, transport, recycling and repairs. - Suitable for small apartments, indoor and outdoor use. The decision to make the presentation with only transparent materials was made to highlight the geometry of each object. Parametric software (Pro Engineer) was used through the whole design process. The project was first featured on Industrial Design Served and later featured in online and printed media worldwide.
