⚛️ There's something unfathomably captivating sprouting in the intersection of neuroscience and plant medicine, and it has me just a little bit agog! As we tiptoe at the precipice of a 'Psychedelic Renaissance', we're carving a trail into understanding consciousness 🧠 more intimately, and frankly, it's surreal. Suddenly, we're just not in Kansas anymore! Who knew the answer to some of our most profound existential quandaries could be found within the fractal choreography of a psilocybin journey? * Here's what’s piquing curiosity- The potential of psychedelics is mind-boggling: 💡 It's a new frontier in mental health treatment, 💡 A catalyst for creativity, innovation, and neuroplasticity, 💡 And potentially key to untangling the mysteries of the cosmos in our heads (and hey, who knows, maybe those of the universe too!). It's clear that these expressions of Mother Nature can be more than simply recreational or exploratory. Quite like Janus, the god of beginnings and transitions, psychedelics reveal dualistic entities, capable of both mischief and miracles. Though, one cannot help but wonder 🤔... * Could this shift in perspective be the domino effect we need? From releasing the iron grip of depression to dismantling destructive addiction patterns - are we sitting on a veritable trove of therapeutic wealth here? People are reporting breakthroughs following a single session that years of therapy couldn't touch, and that is...astounding! 🎉 But we still have miles to go before we sleep… Here’s a thought 💭, think about how we can bridge the gap between traditional western science and these otherworldly experiences. Could we devise more comprehensive studies and, in turn, cultivate a broader societal acceptance of these naturally derived cognitive tools? Let's have an open mind, embrace the unexpected, and ~groove~ with these truths as they unfold. After all, in this labyrinth of existence, isn't the journey itself half the fun? Curious to know, what are your thoughts on this new era of brain exploration? 💫 Happy musings, and remember, you heard it first on CannabisRadio.com 🎙️. Thanks for reading and feel free to give this a share if you think it's worthy of a wider audience. Peace, love, and neural fireworks.🚀

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝗲-𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳? This is one of the most common questions I get Dr. Kate Truitt as a #traumaexpert, #neuroscientist and #clinicalpsychologist. When we focus on how we are responding to a situation - the emotions, thoughts, and feelings that arise - it becomes a window to our past. And journaling is a powerful therapeutic tool that can help us in this process without having to actually remember the traumatic memories. Follow me on my main account Dr. Kate Truitt for more resources on #mentalhealth, #psychology and #therapytips Sign up for our newsletter in the highlight for weekly updates, including free resources, event updates, and special discounts. Grab a copy of my book, 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀. Within its pages, you will find powerful client stories, insights from the field of neuroscience, and tools to create a complete and holistic self-healing program that you can use. Part memoir and part scientific exploration, it's my personal account recounting my experiences and healing journey, including the highs and the lowest of lows. Along the way, you will learn about the neuroscience around trauma and stress.

Don't forget to register for this week's webinar From Pathology to Purpose: Reiminaging The Past and Future of Mental Health, with Justin Garson, PhD, Philosophy Professor at CUNY, Historian, and author of Madness: A Philosophical Exploration. Date: Thursday, March 14th, 2024 Time: 12pm-1:30pm (Eastern) Can't make it live? Don't worry, a recording will be sent to all registrants! Webinar Description Many of us want to bring about paradigm change in the shared vision of mental health and "illness." That is difficult to do, however, without understanding our past. What exactly is psychiatry’s “biomedical model” and how did it become so entrenched in our collective imagination? What are some of the paradigms that we chose to leave behind, and why? How can we best recover and promote some of those forgotten paradigms? In particular, Justin will describe a historical clash between what he calls “pathology” and “purpose” paradigms of what is termed "mental illness," and suggests that we may be witnessing, today, a transition from one to the other. Speaker Bio Justin Garson is a philosopher and historian of ideas at Hunter College and The Graduate Center, City University of New York. He's the author of Madness: A Philosophical Exploration (Oxford, 2022) and the forthcoming The Madness Pill: The Quest to Create Insanity and One Doctor’s Discovery that Transformed Psychiatry (St. Martin’s Press). He also writes for PsychologyToday.com, Aeon and MadInAmerica.com on changing paradigms of mental illness.
