The Dumbest Aquarium Animal Starfish, the slow movers of the aquarium world, are quite the enigma. Did you know they don't have a brain? They spend their days leisurely searching for food and a mate, a simple existence that's fascinating in its own right. So, next time you're gazing at your aquarium, spare a thought for the humble starfish, navigating life in its own unique, brainless way. In the wild, every animal is shaped by its environment. This video explores how eye placement in herbivores, carnivores, and aquatic animals gives them unique survival advantages. From herbivores scanning for predators to carnivores focusing on their prey, and aquatic creatures adapting to life underwater, nature’s design is brilliant. Witness these fascinating adaptations in the Maasai Mara and beyond, as explained by Swati Thiyagarajan. #africanwildlife, #environmentmatters, #biodiversity, #animalbehavior, #sustainableliving, #outdooradventures, #naturephotography, #animallover, #wildlifephotography #deKoder

The Dumbest Aquarium Animal Starfish, the ocean's goofballs, right? Well, Dr. Bill Trevorrow, a friend of mine and a respected researcher, begs to differ. He suggests that corals and anemones might be the real dunces of the deep, they're just better at keeping it under wraps. So, next time you spot a starfish, remember, it might just be the ocean's class clown, not the dunce! Share this video if you learned something new about ocean life today! #MarineLife #StarfishFacts #DrTimsAquatics

Meet the crowned nudibranchs at the Two Oceans Aquarium. 🤩 Crowned nudibranchs (Polycera sp.) are small to medium-sized brightly coloured sea slugs that live in waters ranging from southern Nambia to False Bay. These animals usually possess a variety of colourful stripes, but may also have no stripes at all. Crowned nudibranchs are a species of dorid nudibranch, and form part of the same group as snails (mollusca). Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eYRXqvMu

Never Buy These 3 Fish Snakeheads, the aquatic bullies, are a no-go for your aquarium. Their aggressive nature and insatiable appetite make them more of a menace than a marvel. Next on the blacklist are piranhas, notorious for their razor-sharp teeth and voracious appetite. Lastly, beware of the channel catfish, a seemingly harmless creature that can grow to monstrous sizes and devour everything in your tank. Thousands of animals are confined to zoos and aquariums in the U.S. and around the world. Although many of these facilities attempt to replicate the animals’ natural habitats, even the “best” captive conditions pale in comparison to life in the wild. Opt-out of #VisitTheZooDay, and instead learn more about the exploitation of animals in zoos by reading our webpage and blogs, watching our webinar, or exploring our Exotic Animals Incidents Database. https://lnkd.in/et9G_pHA
