Instead of perfect permeability, we have to talk about the best possible felt permeability: it is always a compromise between re-wetting and dewatering. Felt permeability is also highly dependent on local circumstances, such as press and roll cover design, speed, stock quality, air humidity, contamination etc. Feltest would rather talk about solutions than bore you with permeability problems. The tensioner makes sure that the drive (or: pull) wires for opening and closing are set to the correct tension. The sleeve ensures the pull wire winds and unwinds neatly. The ValkWireSleeve features holes that indicate when the correct number of windings has been reached. Handy isn't it? In addition to this convenient update, the stainless steel pull wire is secured with a knot on the inside of the ValkWireTensioner. The Task: A space-saving solution for cooling a tandem extrusion. The KURRE Highlight Following the first extruder pass, the product typically enters the cooling and drying channel. In the upper section, the product is cooled sufficiently to be easily diverted into the lower channel at the end. The lower drying channel then prepares the product for a subsequent extruder pass. After the second extruder pass, the product is cooled and dried within the same cooling channel, but in different sections for each process. The cooling trough is divided into three sections, enabling thermal separation of all cooling processes. Deflection rollers at both ends ensure gentle and reliable product deflection. The compact arrangement of the cooling technology allows the extruders to be positioned close to each other. This solution saves installation space and materials, while also enhancing system ergonomics – a win-win situation for our customer. Allowing the movement of particles in such applications is essential to help prevent ingresses of dust, debris, insects, and condensation. All of these things can affect adhesion, making these tapes unsuitable for long-term use in these environments, so we developed Filtarite to work with these issues rather than against them. With a built-in breathable filtration mechanism, our filter tape allows for the easier passage of small particles: regulating conditions, whilst still providing a strong seal.
