As part of our advocacy efforts within the Giving for Change Programme in Kakamega County, we partnered closely with WE REACH, the anchor organization of the Kakamega Community of Practice (COP), to drive meaningful development in the region. The COP has made significant progress in strengthening its member organizations through targeted initiatives including comprehensive on-site assessments of 30 member organizations to identify capacity gaps and challenges. The communities of practice are really central to ensure that we are able to see where the resources go to, are they going to where they need to go to our communities at the center of those decision making policies and practices. And therefore the communities of practice also give us an opportunity to learn from each other in terms of how we can build accountability in our country and how we can bring about systems. Each.
