Many of us at 🦋 We Rise are starseeds of the freedom school LIBERATION SPRING LLC! We’ve experienced many seasons of 🤲🏽 unlearning & learning, 🤲🏿 re-membering & storytelling, 🙌🏾 imagining & dreaming with this community that deeply roots & guides how We Rise navigates 💧 ideas, ✨ collaboration & 🌈strategy. We are so excited to dive into Uprising, a course formerly known as Revolution 🔥. For more info or to apply now 🌱: https://lnkd.in/gZxKSrxZ Hope you will join us this autumn, apply by September 9th! There are BIPOC only circles available & the class is offered at sliding scale donation / no one turned away for lack of funds. “Have you been wondering what it’s gonna take to actually disrupt the status quo & get set on the path to collective liberation? If so, I invite you to join us for our autumn course: Uprising. This journey is back for the first time in over four years & not to be missed. Let’s identify ethical praxis as transformative change agents on the lands where we live & within our communities at this particular moment in history. If you’ve been feeling defeated or like trying to make a difference is hopelessly futile, please know that it doesn’t have to be like that. The challenges we face today for our planetary survival are immense. So, too, is our potential. Our capacity to nourish mutiny. To create rebellion. I imagine you want to be in integrity and make your descendants proud. In this community course, we’ll vision what that can look like moving forward. Let’s (re)connect with our responsibilities as future ancestors & (in)finite beings. Feel free to be in touch if you have any questions whatsoever. Looking forward to sharing this experience with you soon.“

Hey LinkedIn fam, Big plans are brewing for 2025, and we need your help more than ever to keep the momentum going for the fantastic STEAM educators we serve! This #GivingTuesday, we’re asking our community to show up and show out for the Beyond Belonging Fund Scholarships. These funds help us create thriving, inclusive spaces in STEAM education. Here’s what your contributions can make happen: 💡 $250 supports a stipend for one dedicated STEAM educator. 👩🏾🏫 $1,500 funds a two-day workshop for 10 educators. 🌟 $5,000 provides scholarships for 10 educators to attend our semester-long course. Every dollar helps us empower educators with tools that center culturally affirming, anti-racist practices in their classrooms. Together, we’re not just teaching STEAM—we’re reimagining it. If you’re ready to make an impact and invest in the future of education, hit the donation link (https://lnkd.in/eMWCRVMU). Let’s create spaces where educators AND students can thrive. Thank you for believing in this work and being part of the movement. Let’s do this! 🙌🏽 #GivingTuesday #STEAMEducation #SupportEducators #InclusiveEducation #AntiRacistTeaching #STEMtoSTEAM

Please spread the word!
I've started a scholarship in honor of my father, Dr. Robert Marko, who dedicated his career to social justice, ethics, morality, and pursuing a better world for all people. My father was the head of the Aquinas College theology department, wrote his dissertation on war and peace, and taught every summer at the Catholic University of Lviv in Ukraine before the war. Please consider donating (whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated!). The scholarship will help send future leaders to school who have a demonstrated commitment to the principals my dad taught and social justice issues. It is also tax deductible! Donate here: https://lnkd.in/gjrmukdz Thank you David Weinandy for helping establish this! Aquinas College - Grand Rapids #socialjustice #workforabetterworld #education #morality #ethics

🌱 The Power of a Mustard Seed, ACE Scholarships, and the Significance of Father’s Day As we celebrate Father’s Day, I'm reminded of the incredible role fathers play in nurturing the dreams and aspirations of their children. Much like a mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds, can grow into the largest of garden plants, so too can a small act of generosity grow into a life-changing opportunity. At ACE Scholarships we believe in the transformative power of educational choice. Each scholarship we provide is like a tiny mustard seed, filled with the potential to flourish into something magnificent. These scholarships enable children to attend schools that best fit their needs, fostering environments where they can thrive academically and personally. Fathers are often the ones who plant these seeds of hope, encouraging their children to dream big and work hard. We've seen firsthand how these opportunities can change the trajectory of a child's life, turning dreams into realities. It’s a reminder that even the smallest contributions can have a profound impact when nurtured with care and dedication. This Father’s Day, let's honor the fathers who inspire, guide, and support their children’s educational journeys. By supporting ACE Scholarships you're not just funding an education; you're planting a seed of hope, growth, and endless possibilities for future generations. Together, let's continue to sow these seeds and witness the extraordinary gardens they become. https://lnkd.in/gbDtyC8x #FathersDay #EducationalChoice #ACEsScholarships #Inspiration #Hope #Growth #PlantingSeeds

If you have followed my work over the last 4 years at Bridgemakers, and have ever felt inspired, hopeful or moved by what we do, consider making a donation that will change a young persons life! (Check comments) The truth is, cultivating purpose, prosperity and power in our young people is the single most important thing we can do for the future of our society. And our traditional public education system is really struggling to do this. 61% of high school graduating seniors will enroll in college. Then 23% of high school students going into full-time college will drop out after a year. I'm not saying college is the only way to be successful, I'm saying that instead of cultivating a strong sense of purpose, prosperity and power in our youth, we anxiously and hurriedly prepare them to meet the 2-dimensional requirements of college admissions. We then often neglect to cultivate their true life's mission so they may confidently pursue it in their studies. Many students are skeptical because of this, and can't afford the astronomical price of college. Of the one's who are fortunate enough to go, a quarter drop out after a year of incurring debt to learn about a field they have little to no interest in. I haven't even begun to illustrate how disparate the challenges are for communities of color. Bridgemakers leadership development programs offer a new way to learn that's experiential, self-directed, and exploratory. Whether through entrepreneurship, policy advocacy or career leadership, we give young people the critical skills and experiences that set them up for a fulfilling life of contribution and purpose. These skills and experiences prepare young people not just to go back to college, with a renewed sense of direction and purpose if they choose to, but for life. So you can do the math yourself - how much does it cost to be ignorant of your higher purpose, and drop out of college after 1 year of pursuing a major you have no affinity for? Well, Bridgemakers leadership programs are the deal of century for youth and families who can expect to pay NOTHING, in fact, you even MAKE money in some of our programs. - This is all due to the extremely generous support of our donors. So, help put a young person on the path of purpose, prosperity and power today by donating to Bridgemakers. (Link in comments below)
