Investing in yourself and your health as you get older can feel scary—especially when you're so used to putting everyone else and your career first. Fat loss, especially in today’s society with false promises and coaches everywhere can seem like a daunting and overwhelming process. I’ve been burnt by “business coaches” myself and trust me, it doesn’t feel good. I have been on zoom calls with potential clients who have opened up to me and cried because of how much they want to feel confident again and not go down the same path their parents did with all sorts of health problems that were preventable. They share with me how they know they need to make a change now because they’re terrified it will get worse. But they truly feel hopeless… When we have these conversations, I wish I could get them to believe in themselves as much as I believe in them and know what they’re capable of. They’ve tried everything…. Diets Workouts Programs Unfortunately it always ends up in the same place: feeling defeated, or feeling like they’ll never achieve/maintain the results they want. But here’s what I want you to know: it doesn’t have to be this way. I’m so passionate about helping people in their 30-40’s to feel confident again while gaining their energy and life back. Because they learn through the process it really doesn’t have to be as stressful and overwhelming as nutrition has been fed to us through diets and social media. Watching my clients finally realize their potential, and knowing they are capable of real, lasting change, is what makes this work so fulfilling. This journey is about more than fat loss or a number on the scale. It’s about reclaiming your health, your confidence and living the life you want to live.

Being 45, I’ve started to view my Health like a pension investment (though I’m much better at understanding health than I am pensions🤪). I know the choices I’m making Today will impact my Health Future, either positively or negatively, so I want to make some really good health investments NOW!💛 For our future brain, body and soul health, it’s important to consider our current daily actions and health habits!🧠❤️ Here are some questions to get you thinking about yours: ✨Is the food you’re eating going to nourish you, energise you and boost your mood? How can you include more of these foods daily? ✨What is the quality of your sleep? Be honest about the habits you have leading to bedtime - phone use, eating late …. ✨How much movement are you getting throughout the day? How can you add a little more? ✨Do you get a daily dose of nature and fresh air? ✨How do you get to restore? Do you make regular space in your schedule to relax and restore your mind, body and soul? ✨How are your connections and relationships? Do you feel supported? How can you spend more time with the people who lift you up to cushion the impact of those who don’t? ✨What is your Go To activity that gives your positive emotions a real boost? ✨What is your Health Why? Why is it important for you to create a healthy future? My Why is my family and daughter, Lucy - I want a healthy, energetic and vital future so I can enjoy lots of life with my loved ones, and to really participate in living, I want to travel more and not spend my precious time at GP appointments!✈️🏖️☀️ Whilst we never fully know what’s ahead of us, and what health challenges we might face, we can make some preventative choices and take some control!💪 I’d love to hear your thoughts on the questions, or use this as a reflective exercise. It’s a great way to raise your awareness, so you can begin to make some small changes to invest in a healthier, more energetic future!💫💛 #health #invest #habits #vitality #energy #wellbeing #positivepsychology

TIP TO DEAL WITH TRANSITIONS IN LIFE: #1: Focus on Small, Manageable Goals Break down big changes into actionable steps to reduce overwhelm and build momentum. Real-Life Applications: 1. Health Challenge: Set micro-goals like drinking more water daily before tackling major lifestyle overhauls. 2. Retirement: Plan ahead. Consider your options – and prioritize them. Include mental-emotional dynamics; e.g., purpose, legacy, letting go of uncertainty, etc. Start first by implementing the item that you’ve prioritize as #1. 3. Downsizing: Pack one box of items at a time instead of addressing the entire house at once. Consider Marcus. When I first started coaching Marcus he expressed that he was overwhelmed by the prospect of losing weight after a health scare. He admitted that he had let his health go …. and failed to develop good health habits that he engaged in regularly. So, we created a schedule for him to begin gradually. He started by walking for 10 minutes daily. Once he felt comfortable accomplishing this, we gradually added in dietary changes. Marcus was diligent in completing these practices. Within 6 months, he reported that not only had he lost 20 pounds, but he also felt much healthier and more confident. #transitionlifestyle #goalsetting2025 #goals #takeactionnow

Is being healthy the key to being wealthy? There are thousands of debates about what true wealth is. We often think of wealth as having lots of money and nice things. But is that all it takes to be truly wealthy? Imagine this: you're rich, but you're constantly sick and tired. You can't enjoy life because you're always feeling unwell. Suddenly, being healthy seems important. Without it, even if you have money, you can't enjoy life. Being healthy is like the foundation of a big house. It's what everything else is built on. When you're healthy, you have the energy to work towards your dreams and make the most of life's opportunities. But being healthy isn't just about feeling good. It also saves you money. Think about how much it costs when you're sick; doctor's bills, missed work, and not being able to do things you enjoy. Being healthy means you spend less on being sick and more on things you love. So, is being healthy the key to being wealthy? Definitely. It's the starting point for living a really good life. By taking care of our health, we not only save money but also make the most of every day. Let's focus on staying healthy and living life to the fullest. #health #wealth #healthiswealth

How has your money mindset impacted your health? Why is it that you have all the time and money in the world except when it comes to your health? When it comes to time, you’ll continuously push off ever starting, but when you finally start, you better see results in 3 months or “it’s not working” (and you quit). When it comes to money, you’ll gladly go into debt for a week-long vacation. You say feeling more energetic, patient, confident and strong is important to you… but whoa! Not if it’s going to cost as much as a hair appointment! When it comes to your career, 5 years to get a promotion? That’s nothing! But working on lifelong habits for one whole year?! That’s way too long! I hope I’ve pointed out how wild that type of thinking is. Admitting this will take some self-awareness and humility, but do you fall into these categories? If so, I hope this awareness will help you see your health as a valuable investment of your time and money and empower you to invest in yourself. #healthiswealth #moneymindset #investinyourhealth

"When we think of investment, it’s possible that our minds immediately travel to money. However, investing in yourself goes beyond acquiring stakes and bonds. It is defined as the act of putting in time, energy, and money to improve yourself and your future life. When you prioritize self-improvement, various aspects of your life will experience a positive domino effect. Through actions that shape you into a happy, peaceful, wise, and successful person, you are able to take an active role in shaping your future and building the life you desire." "Investing in yourself entails taking care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being, as they are all interconnected. Self-care is an incredible way to achieve this. Defined as anything you do to take care of yourself to ensure well-being across all spheres, self-care can take on various forms." https://lnkd.in/gPJTUa69 #wellness #food #nutrition #movement #exercise #stressreduction #holisticwellness #selfcare #weightloss #longevity #wellnesscoaching #lastingbehaviorimprovement #positivehabitformation #motivationalinterviewing #positivepsychology #lifestylemedicine #foodasmedicine #foodismedicine #movementasmedicine #movementismedicine #stressreductionasmedicine #stressreductionismedicine #preventivemedicine #salutogenesis #evidencebasedwellness #empowerment #agency
