3 habits to boost your digital citizenship (that make an impact): 1. Limit Screen Time: → Spending too much time on devices can be draining. → Set boundaries by scheduling device-free hours, focusing on face-to-face interactions, and enjoying offline activities. 2. Use Proactive Language: → Solve problems with positive communication. → Proactive language helps you address issues effectively. Be clear, direct, and solution-focused. → Practice this by framing your concerns constructively, offering solutions, and encouraging open dialogue. 3. Get Involved in Community Service: → Giving back strengthens connections. → Volunteering helps you build relationships and make a positive impact. → Show your commitment by participating in local events, supporting causes you care about, and encouraging others to join you. Healthy digital habits, proactive language, and community service can transform your digital citizenship. Make these habits a part of your routine to create a positive impact. #DigitalWellness #HealthyHabits #CommunityService #ProactiveLiving #VolunteerMore #ScreenTimeLimit #DigitalCitizenship #PositiveImpact #FaceToFace #LifeBalance #Digital4Good

In an era where digital presence shapes public perception and accessibility, cities and towns must engage with their communities through robust .gov platforms. These digital spaces are not just about providing information; they are about fostering meaningful conversations, ensuring transparency, and facilitating easier access to services. The transition to a more interactive .gov website can transform how local governments connect with their citizens. From real-time updates on local projects and services to forums for public feedback and participation, these platforms can significantly enhance civic engagement. Why It Matters? Transparency: Showcases government operations and decisions openly, building trust and accountability. Engagement: Offers a direct channel for citizen feedback, questions, and participation in local governance. Accessibility: Ensures all community members have easy access to essential services, updates, and information. As we navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital age, let's prioritize the development of .gov platforms that are not only informative but also interactive and inclusive. Let's use technology to bring our cities and towns closer to the people they serve. #DigitalTransformation #GovTech #CivicEngagement #PublicSectorInnovation #c1

🌐 Bridging the Digital Divide: Empowering Communities with Social Telecoms 🏠 As the world becomes increasingly digital, access to reliable internet is no longer a luxury but a necessity. However, many communities, especially in underserved areas, still face barriers in accessing this vital resource. I'm proud to be part of a movement that's changing this narrative. Through our partnership with housing associations across the UK, we're spearheading initiatives to install community WiFi networks, ensuring that every resident has access to high-speed internet regardless of their economic status. By closing the digital divide, we're not just providing internet access; we're empowering individuals with opportunities. Students can access online learning resources, job seekers can apply for employment opportunities, and families can stay connected with loved ones - all crucial aspects of modern life. But our mission goes beyond connectivity; it's about building stronger, more inclusive communities. With WiFi access, residents can engage in online forums, participate in virtual events, and access vital services, fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration. Together, let's continue to create a future where everyone has equal access to the digital world. Join us in our journey to bridge the gap and empower communities across the UK 📶🏡🌟 #DigitalInclusion #CommunityWiFi #SocialTelecoms #BridgingTheDivide

Let's make digital for all All this month the Good Things Foundation is running a national campaign called 'Digital for All.' Nearly half of the population has not heard of the term 'digital exclusion' but it's an ever increasing problem as we move more into a digital world. People can be digitally excluded because they cannot afford devices or broadband/data, other people might not have the skills or confidence to use digital devices or online services and then there are those who live in an areas of poor connectivity. Sadly millions of people are in this situation. The #DigitalForAll campaign is raising awareness about digital exclusion and the initiatives that exist to help break the barriers. Here in Dorset we have several initiatives that are helping people to get online. You can find out more by going to the #DigitalDorset section of the Dorset Council UK website: https://lnkd.in/dW9CEbWY Penny Syddall FCIPR Dugald Lockhart Hannah Godwin Dominic Fitzgerald Colin Wood Gary Littledyke #DigitalSkills #DigitalInclusion
