Today, let's celebrate the diverse spaces and communities that enable people of all ages to come together. Whether it's a bustling neighborhood park where individuals from different generations enjoy each other's company or a vibrant community centre hosting intergenerational art classes, fostering creativity and connection, these spaces ignite a sense of belonging and unity. In some areas, innovative co-housing arrangements bring together people from different age groups, allowing them to live side by side and share experiences seamlessly. Urban gardens, tended by both young and older individuals, not only provide spaces for collaboration and growth in our communities but also serve as living proof to the power of intergenerational cooperation. Some forward-thinking workplaces have embraced inclusivity by promoting mentorship across diverse age groups. Additionally, online forums that connect older adults with tech-savvy youth for digital mentoring are bridging the gap between different generations and fostering mutual learning. These #IntergenerationalCommunities showcase the richness of connections that can occur across varied life experiences. But the real question remains: how do we create more of these spaces and communities that allow and encourage these interactions to take place? Join the conversation and share your thoughts! Together, let's envision and create a future where individuals of all ages come together to learn, grow, and support each other. #IntergenerationalCommunities #GIW24 #genconnectnz

What does digital inclusion mean in your community? Digital inclusion is about giving everyone, especially underserved communities like Latinos, a fair chance to thrive in today’s world. It’s not just about access to the internet or having a device—it’s about creating opportunities. For many in the Latino community, reliable access to technology can mean the difference between finding a job or staying unemployed, staying connected to loved ones, or feeling isolated. It can open doors to better healthcare, education, and financial security. Without it, inequalities only get worse, leaving too many behind. Digital inclusion allows families to engage with their community, understand their rights, and access critical resources. It’s about ensuring everyone has the tools they need to be heard and succeed, no matter where they come from or their financial situation. By closing the digital gap, we can help build a stronger, more connected future where everyone can participate and thrive.
