We’ve come a long way. It started as a solo start-up and a gut feeling. Then grew into a trio, eventually expanding to a group of eight. Our journey has taken us from TKSS to Comando Club and to launching MKK early this year. Then there's our annual Choobub Day, this year is our fourth. We're now gearing up for our first major event, #MKKFest, this November 2nd, an exciting milestone. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing. We’ve faced our fair share of challenges, often hidden behind jokes and laughter. There were times when we were exhausted, frustrated, and lost. While we communicate about work, talking about our daily lives is equally important. Sometimes, it’s necessary to step away from work and truly connect with one another. Mixing work with personal life isn’t always easy, but it’s been a game-changer for us. Being present, understanding, listening, and chatting about more than just deadlines. Staying connected helps us ride the waves together even when things get tough. Sharing a meal (and showing off bulu kaki) is something I hold dearly; it's a simple yet powerful way to connect beyond work. How do you keep people together? In our daily work, we often forget the creativity and innovation that brought us together from all over the world. We get so focused on our tasks that we overlook the dreams and goals that led us to ENOWA.   The ENOWA Majlis Hackathon isn't just about competition or solving a challenge. It's about challenging yourself, breaking free from routine, and embracing new ideas. It's a place where learning something new is encouraged, and there's support for those who think differently.   NEOM is built upon innovation, and it is an important part of our culture. Diversity is a key value at NEOM—not just diversity in background, but diversity in thought. This was evident in our hackathon team. That's why ENOWA also considers working on the winning team's idea. We believe that the floor is open to anyone. It's not about your role or grade; it's about your idea and its implementation. Planning the hackathon took us more than three months, with limited resources and a lot of learning along the way. I'm so happy it was a great success. As a data person, I like to rely on the numbers, and I was glad to see the results from our participants: 86% felt that the hackathon provided a platform for non-conventional ideas, 100% agreed that the hackathon strengthened teamwork within their group, and 71% felt more motivated and empowered at work after the hackathon. Many things can go wrong, especially at the last minute. But none of this would have been possible without the hard work and teamwork of an amazing group of people.
