Improving soil health is vital for preventing and managing disasters. This is especially important as extreme weather events caused by climate change—such as droughts, floods, and wildfires—become more common.

As ironic as it is, water induced disasters can take away water/WASH facilities from our daily lives. It was only three weeks ago when the water supply was completely cut off to households for over a week in BhaadGaaun of Tanahu district due to flash floods and landslides. This village has just been the tip of an iceberg as several other places in Nepal have acutely suffered the same and beyond.
