Nice tool to measure your event success 💪
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐎𝐈 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭? Answer: By using Huddl Last Friday, we successfully launched Huddl, another venture from Motiv's Venture Studio, at the Data Conference organized byYYC Data Society at Platform Calgary. What is Huddl? Huddl is an event engagement app designed for both attendees and event organizers. What problem does it solve? Huddl aims to facilitate networking through a gamified experience, while providing event organizers and sponsors with powerful data and analytics from the event. Some of the features include: - Building your agenda 📆 - Networking Bingo 🎲 - Event Scavenger Hunt 🔎 - Attendees list 👥 What's incredible about Huddl is that it took our team only 7 weeks to go from an idea to launch. The reality is that our user testing occurred live at the event itself, with 900+ attendees and platform activations. And I must say, based on the feedback, we are extremely satisfied with the pilot. Stay tuned for what's coming out of our Venture Studio.

“Networking at all Web3 conferences is the same!” - a complaint from a diehard attendee of the Web3 event circuit. And they’re right. It is nearly all the same, driven by sales chats in conferences that monetize speaking slots. At Proof of Talk, we do things differently. We focus on high-impact networking and fostering authentic connections. Something present in all of our programming, including in our VIP dinner and after parties, invite-only investor dinner, curated workshops and Proof of Pitch startup competition. What supports this are speakers who want to be here because they’re passionate experts with something important to share. This way, attendees have meaningful discussions with industry leaders. Are you ready to participate in discussions that steer the industry? Inquire now. Just 100 tickets left 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/d3mdS4H8 #PoT24 #ProofofTalk #Web3events #Web3

“Why are you so involved in angel investing?” My answer is simple...startups in the Southeast need it. Traditional funding sources don’t always take the risks that early-stage companies need to grow, especially in the Southeast. Angel investing helps fill that gap, supporting local entrepreneurs and boosting our regional economy. For me, it’s about being a part of something bigger—helping great ideas take off and building a stronger future for our communities. America was built on taking risks! Come join us tonight for a casual networking function with investors and entrepreneurs.
Join us for Cocktails with VentureSouth on Tuesday, October 15 at 5:00 p.m. at Hendrix in Columbia. This networking event is proudly hosted by SCRA, Austin Rhodes, and Thomas Rhodes. Please RSVP using the link below. We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to bring a guest. ➡️ Learn more & RSVP: bit.ly/3Br433G

Let’s be real: conferences like DevFest, feel like a waste of time and money. Sure, arranging events costs a lot, and sponsors are needed to make it happen, but let’s be honest most sponsors are there to sell, not add real value. It’s like paying for ads disguised as "sessions." I’ve attended DevFest and other similar events where only 2-3 sessions actually had value. The rest? A constant parade of buzzwords like AI that we've been hearing about all year. Do we really need to pay to listen to that again? Now, compare that with conferences like JSConf, CNCF, and LCA, these events actually provide real content, practical insights, and hands-on learning. They focus on pushing the industry forward, not just promoting products. For me, it’s about the quality of the sessions, the value of the conversations, and real-world knowledge, not more sales pitches. YT LINKS which will save you time, money and get you real value. JSconf. : https://lnkd.in/ddhJc4Tz https://lnkd.in/d5Qqbnx8 https://lnkd.in/dY8gTnyG CNCF : https://lnkd.in/dCGXy_VQ https://lnkd.in/dgmyPFra https://lnkd.in/dwdPZCB7 LCA : https://lnkd.in/djwxhrTK https://lnkd.in/dz6Rdvtu https://lnkd.in/dgkz6rFw Others : https://lnkd.in/dgCSunvV Stop paying for fluff. Start learning where it counts. What do you think? Have you experienced the same?

"Neil, how do you come up with the ideas for your digital platforms and how do you make it?" This is a great question and one I've been meaning to post the answer to for a long time. Since 2012 I have been working with my business partner on my apps company, Steve. He's not only a great guy, but a genius coder too. We talk everyday and have done for 12 years. We just get each other - even though we are very different people. Well..apart from...we are both on a mission to create something unique, useful and better than the competition. It's our passion and belief that nothing is beyond us and we will reach our goal one day. My specific job is to identify opportunities and come up with ideas, then develop those ideas into a full flow platforms - highlighting the potential pitfalls and features. I also create the names of the apps, bring together the branding and the UI. Steve then takes this from me and starts the coding process. This has become a lot smoother over the years as we have an awesome framework with CrowdApps - which has, and continues to, bring a cohesive look and feel to all of our platforms new and old. I then work with Steve to test everything - going through every single process to sniff out errors and bugs - this can take weeks. Together we patch these and polish the product - and think about how to improve it. We often don't agree - and that's healthy. Why should I or Steve know 100% what is right? We compromise and develop new branches of thought which spawn even better ideas. This relationship is rare and is one I cherish. Just look at what we've created together over 12 years... CrowdApps.co which consists of: - CrowdScreen - CrowdList - CrowdCard - CrowdBadge - CrowdZap - CrowdQ&A - CrowdGame - CrowdBlocks As well as - Video recording platform - Camflare.io - Podcast player and links page creator - pod1.co - Private podcasting - podlock - HUB - a polling and commenting platform - A specific awards judging platform and a few others that may make a return... I'm super proud of us and thank you for the question, it's been a pleasure to shed light on how I/we work. #eventprofs #crowdcard #crowdapps #tech #inspiration #diaryofaceo

#Speaker #Announcement #AdTech #Economic #Forum returns to the fabulous New York Times Center on March 19. It's the best place to be if you're interested or vested in #adtech. Last April at our inaugural forum we brought 34 of the brightest minds to the stage to deliver #enlightenment 💡 #enlightenment is our primary unit of production. We produce it with four raw materials: #Content at the intersection of adtech, economics, and finance. #Conversation in the raw with zero no trade-press listening in. #Connecting with friends new and old. #Collaboration that turns into #deal making. If there is one thing that makes curating #ATEF worth all the effort it's hearing from so many people about the deals they got done by being there. When we produce #enlightenment, our guests get #deals done. Today we are announcing 12 #returning speakers and one #new speaker with several more speaker announcements happening over the coming weeks: Sir Martin Sorrell Brian Wieser, CFA Sanja Partalo Rishad Tobaccowala Joe Marchese Laura Martin, CFA, CMT Shweta Khajuria, CFA Eric Franchi Reed Rayman Brian O'Kelley Stephen Master Bob Lord and... Daniel Salmon #ATEF #NYC is invite-only or apply to attend. Are you in? https://lnkd.in/ewR6wpV3 If you're interested in #sponsoring ATEF NYC, reach out to me or Rob Beeler. We've curated a handful of creative sponsorships and we go "logo lite" at #ATEF so get involved soon and lock it in.

Earlier this year, from Motiv Venture Studio, we proudly launched Huddl—an innovative event engagement platform designed to enhance both attendee and organizer experiences. Here’s what Huddl achieved at the recent YYC Data Con 2024: ✅ Attendees personalized their event schedules to fit their interests. 🤝 'Networking Bingo' facilitated new and meaningful connections. 📸 A shared conference photo album allowed attendees to post and access memories live. 💬 Real-time engagement through live Q&A sessions with speakers. 🏆 Interactive activities with opportunities to win exclusive prizes. Huddl recorded 889 activations at YYC Data Con 2024, boosting meaningful interactions and providing organizers with crucial insights into engagement levels and attendee behaviours. These insights help organizers refine event strategies for greater impact. Big thank you to YYC Data Society for having us this year and Platform Calgary for the hospitality. 👀 Keep an eye out for upcoming events featuring Huddl on site. If you’re an event organizer, or know one, we’re eager to discuss our pilot program opportunities. Let's create new event experiences together! #MotivVentureStudio #Huddl #EventTech #Innovation
