Should you get legal advice from Google's AI Overviews? In the past, YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) content has been treated much more carefully than other categories by Google's search algorithm. But this approach hasn't been applied as evenly to AI Overviews according to a study by SE Ranking, with legal and health-related searches triggering AIOs quite frequently. While AIOs do pull information from sources across the internet - and per the study, many of the sources used are indeed reliable - there could be a danger of giving users misleading or outright incorrect information.
