Fan clubs may have gotten a bit of a bad rap in the industry, but they’re still one of the best ways to connect with superfans in a meaningful way. The challenge? Showing real value. Ticket pre-sale access has long been the main draw for these paid options, but what else can artists offer to make fans want to join? The next go-to answer has been “exclusive content,” but managers and artist teams know this can be an empty promise that’s hard to maintain consistently. Our approach? Livestream your shows. Most artists are already out there playing live, more venues are wired for streaming (and more are coming online thanks to Volume.com's venue network), and superfans want real-time access to these moments. Our latest launch with Anders Osborne is a perfect example. Each month, he’s giving his fans a live-streamed show, either from a tour stop or from his own home studio—a turnkey setup we at Volume.com installed to make it easy for him to go live anytime. Fan clubs don’t have to be complicated. Just bring the fans into the music they love.

Star Trek: From Fiction to Reality with 5G and Holograms! 🎉 I remember weeks ago in our Storytelling Training with Julia Dixon, brainstorming how #5g could revolutionize lives? One idea that struck me was using #holograms for immersive virtual meetings, allowing me to be present in both a Mexican business meeting and at home with my family in Colombia. 😜 While colleagues envisioned other exciting uses like mining or faster downloads, seeing Telefonica´s event solidified my belief: Star Trek isn't just fantasy anymore! The global holograms market is expected to skyrocket from $44 billion in 2022 to $67 billion by 2030. Widespread adoption of holographic meetings might take some time, but the ease and accessibility of new holographic technologies suggest a "Star Trek holo-future" is just around the corner, especially as costs become more justifiable. Here's to more "holo meetings" in the future! ✌

Here's a quick breakdown of what the numbers look like so far: - 𝟭𝟳 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 at major venues like Wembley Stadium, Principality Stadium, Heaton Park, Murrayfield, and Croke Park. - Average attendance per show is a massive 𝟴𝟰,𝟵𝟬𝟬. - That means a total of 𝟭,𝟰𝟰𝟯,𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 sold across the tour. With ticket prices ranging from £73 to £506, I’ve estimated an average price of £𝟮𝟬𝟬 per ticket as the majority will be standard (although the reports are showing this could be even higher). So, what’s the total revenue from ticket sales? 𝟭,𝟰𝟰𝟯,𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘅 £𝟮𝟬𝟬 = £𝟮𝟴𝟴.𝟲𝟲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 – all in just 𝟰𝟴 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀. These numbers show the incredible demand for live music and Oasis' enduring fanbase, nearly three decades after their debut. THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF MUSIC Music is often part of our lives. It can punctuate our day, be discreet, be linked to important moments or moments of rest. It can also surround us without our choosing it (in a shop, for example). But did you know that music plays a vital role in our physiology, our cognitive reactions and our minds, at every age? When I was younger, my Tae Kwon Do teacher at Rhodes University often played rhythmic music during our warm-ups. Music influences the perception of effort and makes you forget how tired you are. This enabled us to last longer during sets and muscle strengthening. Moreover, depending on the music we listen to, it can have a beneficial effect on our sleep. It could make it easier to fall asleep, creating a state of well-being and relaxation through the rhythm and emotions it provokes. It also plays a role in reducing stress and anxiety. When we listen to music, we secrete dopamine (good mood) and endorphins, which act as an anti-depressant. Another effect of music is to stimulate creativity, attention and memory. Playing music is thought to enhance this effect. One of the reasons for this is that music increases the connections between the two hemispheres. 🎤 This weekend, the great final of #Eurovision Song Contest is held in Malmö, Sweden 🇸🇪 . But, do you kwow the origin of this music festival followed around the whole globe ? It emerged as an attempt to unify nations throughout the music, going beyond European frontiers. Inspired in the Italian #SanRemo, former president of the European Broadcasting Union, Marcel Bezençon, aimed to strengthen bonds between European nations that were going through the post-WWII period, trying to portray internationally an image of unity and peace. It is considered to be the oldest tv program that is still broadcasted. The first edition was held in 1956, only with 7 participants. It supposed a true technological challenge, as it ought to be retransmitted in those countries at the same time. Nevertheless, the music festival has not been away from the focus of polemics. There are many who consider the contest is too politicized. Although making politics is forbidden, there has not been lack of subliminal messages and details in several performances. Another great complaint comes at the time of voting, where countries do not evaluate the quality of the show but regarding possible geopolitical interests with neighbor countries and friends. 💡What do you think?
