On Friday, Minister Miller proudly welcomed 61 new Canadians from 24 different countries at a ceremony in Ottawa to start off Welcoming Week 2024. Congratulations to everyone who became a Canadian citizen! As we look forward to Welcoming Week, let’s continue to celebrate and support the newest members of our Canadian family! #MyCitizenship #ImmigrationMatters #WelcomingWeek2024
Dear Minister Miller, I have a friend for the last two years that is in a desperate position in Packisan.Ive been trying to help him on his journey to a safe place. He was supposed to come and work my company with ne.Hes fully qualified for the position. Please see what you could do for my dear friend Ishaq.Hes been turned down many times to come here.Aswell he's had Invitations to the Calgary job Expo. Even then turned down for his visa, even with myself to support Ishaq until he gets on his feet aswell.
Congratulations to the 61 new Canadians! However, as we celebrate Welcoming Week, it's also important to acknowledge the ongoing challenges many immigrants face in navigating the Canadian system. We must continue to work towards a more efficient immigration process. Let's ensure that everyone has a fair chance to build a successful life in Canada. On our page, we share resources and support for everyone chasing the Canadian dream. Feel free to follow along!
you mean your new family, meanwhile us candians are losing everything thanks to the great government,
Congratulations! Welcoming Week is a beautiful concept. Having experienced the welcome first hand myself, I only have fond memories of the ceremony almost 20 years ago 🤩. Canadian citizenship is worth celebrating for! In Finland, my spouse only received weekly messages urging to wait patiently for the decision of becoming a Finn. After two years of waiting, there was an e-mail letting you know you're in. That was it 🥴. Not much of a celebration. So hats off to Canada for making an effort and celebrating its new Citizens!
My dream of being in that room to raise my hand to pledge is becoming increasingly elusive.

In person ceremonies should be the default event. No matter who you are, no matter where you came from, no matter how you worship, no matter who you love ... You are Canadian! Bien Venue le grande famille canadienne!
