I was hooked !!! 🇫🇷 What a fabulous Olympics opening ceremony last night ! I loved how they broke the mold on the traditional stadium ceremony and used the River Seine and the city of Paris as their stage 🎉 ( I can’t believe despite all my previous years working in travel that I haven’t actually been to Paris & after watching last night it’s now top of my list ! ✈️) Yes it was long, but I just couldn’t stop watching it right till the end, and wow how incredible was Celine !! 🤩 So many similarities to business to note as well : 🥇 Dare to be Different: The ceremony showed us the power of stepping outside the norm and taking a bold approach. In business, it's essential to challenge the status quo, think outside the box, and dare to be different. 🥇Show Off Your Unique Flair: The ceremony brilliantly showcased the rich history and culture of Paris. It reminds us that we all have our own unique flair and story to tell. So, let your brand's personality shine through! Celebrate your businesses story, values, and uniqueness 🥇Blend Tradition with Excitement: Paris blended tradition with excitement. It's a reminder that in business, we can honor our roots while embracing a dynamic and future. Balance the tried-and-true methods with innovative approaches 🥇Embrace the Collaborative Spirit: The Olympics are the epitome of competition but also there is huge collaboration. In business, collaboration can fuel growth and drive us to achieve remarkable things. Did you watch it last night ? What did you think ? Ps Anyone wanting to book a trip to Paris now after that as well for a cheeky break ?? 🙋🏻♀️ 🇫🇷

What to think of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Opinions seem to have been flying in the last 3 days. It was a true demonstration of unity and the desire to represent France in all its splendor to the eyes of the whole world. The party was a success, despite the pessimistic predictions of some. Those who chose to focus on the negative details missed the essential: a grandiose and audacious celebration, rich in emotions. This ceremony was beautiful, provocative, evocative moments of joy and pride for all generations and a touch of insolence. It highlighted the importance of art in our lives and our society. It also combined our cultural references with the desire to innovate and shake things up. To quote Tony Estanguet, "humanity is beautiful when it comes together!" And that's exactly what we saw: a celebration where modernity and classicism, humor and professionalism, audacity and postures came together for an evening full of joy. The ceremony may have shocked some, but that's also the whole point: to question us, to shake up our certainties. To create strong moments. The artistic performances were impressive, moving, offbeat and intelligent in the finesse of the references suggested. This ceremony, whether we liked it or not, offered a real artistic vision, intense and uncompromising. Bravo for all the emotions it aroused and reflections brought on the ability to animate people and achieve this type of performance in unison. From this point of view, the opening ceremony of Paris 2024 is a great success! It is this spirit of innovation and courage that we must transpose into our professional life. In business, as in this ceremony, it is unity, diversity and the ability to think outside the box that allow us to achieve the impossible. Together, everything becomes possible and that is what moves us forward. The team spirit and quality of working together, such as during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, demonstrates that unity, diversity and collaboration make it possible to create extraordinary and unforgettable moments for end users. Well done to everyone who works there 💪✨ #OuvertureJO2024 #Inspiration #UserExperience #Celebration

Welcome to this Olympic workweek of July 29th, The Olympics significantly impact the business world, both positively and negatively. On one hand, hosting the games can provide a substantial economic boost through increased tourism, infrastructure development, and global exposure. Businesses in various sectors, such as hospitality, retail, and transportation, often experience heightened activity during the Olympics. However, the costs of hosting the Olympics can be immense, leading to budget strains and potential long-term financial burdens for host cities. Additionally, the disruption caused by large-scale events like the Olympics can negatively affect some businesses, particularly small local enterprises. Ultimately, the overall impact of the Olympics on the business world is complex and depends on various factors, including the specific host city and its economic conditions. 🌍 EASE attended Think tank Sport et Citoyenneté - FR’s webinar on European Sporting Heritage. We had the pleasure of attending this insightful event, which explored the cultural and historical significance of sport across Europe. The webinar featured three fascinating presentations: 1️⃣ "The Nautical History of the Netherlands" – a look at how maritime traditions have shaped Dutch identity and sporting culture. 2️⃣ "Rindal Ski Museum" – an inspiring story of Norway’s living heritage in ski-making and winter sports. 3️⃣ "The National Sports Museum in France" – an insightful look at the leading institution in the dissemination of sporting heritage. These discussions offered a powerful reminder of how sport serves as a bridge between history, culture, and communities! #SportingHeritage #EASE #EuropeanSportsModel

As the warmth of summer envelops us, it ushers in a season of unparalleled sporting brilliance. That is one big reason, I look forward to beyond seeking relief from long winters. From the clay courts of Roland Garros to the hallowed grass of Wimbledon, from the meticulously manicured greens of Augusta to the windswept links of The Open, and from the electric atmosphere of the European Championships to the global spectacle of the Olympics, we are and will be treated to a feast of human endeavor and excellence. These events are more than mere competitions; they are living, breathing narratives of the human spirit. Be it the grueling clay court or grass battles, or the harmony of teamwork rather than individual brilliance as seen in the ongoing European Championships, or the masterclass in precision, patience, and mental fortitude as seen in The Masters. I am sure The Open will be no different. They remind us that success is often a product of careful planning, unwavering focus, and the resilience to overcome setbacks. Additionally this year, the one I am truly looking forward to is the Olympics, the pinnacle of global sports, a global celebration of diversity and inclusion, reminding us of our shared humanity despite our differences. They all teach us that we must stand firm in our convictions, and at other times we must be flexible and embrace change. Personally, they offer stories that help me navigate the complexities of our own lives and careers. I draw huge inspiration from the dedication and skill on display and apply these to my pursuits. After all, in the grand arena of life, we are all athletes striving for our personal best. How do these sporting events inspire you? What lessons do you draw from them to fuel your journey of personal and professional growth? #Inspiration #storiesfromsports #sundaythoughts
