Wendy Chua’s Post

When in Argentina, learn tango! The photo is NOT of me dancing. I was too focused on learning that I did not have any photos taken last night during my tango class. The tango class was more than learning tango. The experience affirmed the importance of being fully present with whom I was dancing. As we took turns leading and following, it was a lesson on trusting myself and my partner. Tango teaches me: 1. The most important step in tango is ‘STOP’. 2. The one leading stops so that they can connect with their partner who is trusting (with eyes closed) them for the next move. 3. The one leading always steps forward. 4. Breathe together to connect. Stop. Trust. Connect. Breathe. Where else can you apply these? #lifeisliketango Photo is of professional dancers at tonight’s show. I learn that I am far from being pro at tango. I need 9,999 more hours of lessons and practice. Think I will stick with my day job.
