🧡 WORLD MENOPAUSE DAY: A Crucial Conversation 🧡 Today marks World Menopause Day, an important reminder of the often-overlooked impact menopause has on women's health and well-being. While much of the focus is on those currently navigating menopause, I believe it’s essential to start the conversation earlier, particularly with women in their 30s. By addressing health and wellness holistically before the onset of peri-menopause, we can empower women with the knowledge and tools to navigate this transition more smoothly. Early awareness and preparation are key, but unfortunately, it’s not always a priority in mainstream health discussions. This awareness is just as important for men, as the changes women experience during menopause will inevitably affect their partners, colleagues, and families. Understanding and supporting these changes can lead to healthier relationships both personally and professionally. If you’re questioning or struggling with any aspect of this, I’m happy to offer guidance and signpost relevant resources. Let’s normalise these conversations and create a more informed and supportive environment for all. #WorldMenopauseDay #HealthAndWellness #MenopauseAwareness #HolisticHealth #WorkplaceSupport #HealthEducation #LeadershipInHealth #thewellbeingalchemist

World Menopause Day: A Call to Action for Male Allies Today is World Menopause Day, a time to raise awareness about a natural, yet often overlooked, phase of life. Menopause marks the end of menstruation, typically around age 51, but its lead-up—perimenopause—can last up to a decade, with symptoms ranging from mood changes to physical discomfort. This journey isn’t exclusive to older cisgender women; it affects anyone born with female physiology, including trans men and non-binary individuals. Some may experience menopause earlier due to medical conditions or treatments. Menopause impacts us all—whether it's a colleague, partner, family member, or friend. As male allies, it’s crucial to educate ourselves and break the stigma. Approach conversations with the same empathy and respect as any other health topic. Avoid assumptions, respect privacy, and show genuine care if someone seems to be struggling. To support your learning, check out the Perimenopause and Menopause Toolkit launched by Women NSW , which offers practical resources for families, partners, and workplaces. Let’s take this opportunity to foster a culture of understanding and support. Be the ally who helps create an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. #WorldMenopauseDay #MaleAllyship #Inclusion #Support #WorldMenopauseDay #MenopauseAwareness #MaleAlly #SupportInclusivity #HealthAwareness #Perimenopause

Menopause affects half the population, yet we're not talking about it at work. WHY?! Menopause is not a 'situation' to be fixed or a 'problem' to be solved. It's a natural part of life for women, yet it's often ignored or misunderstood in the workplace. We need to change that narrative. The national consciousness of menopause is being raised, but often women don't receive the support from the medical profession they need, nor do they know how to approach the topic with colleagues. Next week, the #culturefirst community is talkin' bout it! I'm excited to invite you to our upcoming event, "Thriving in Life and at Work through Menopause," where we'll unravel some of the mysteries surrounding this stage of life. Join us for a fireside chat between the wise and talented Sonja Montague MacKay and her GP (also a menopause specialist), Dr. Catherine Smith, to learn more about how to navigate this journey with confidence. 🗓️ Date: June 24th ⏰ Time: 10am PT / 1:00 pm ET / 6pm BT 🔗 Link to register - https://lnkd.in/gFfyBiEV Let's empower ourselves and our colleagues by breaking the silence around menopause. Together, we can make our workplaces more inclusive and supportive for everyone. hashtag#Menopause hashtag#WorkplaceWellbeing hashtag#InclusiveWorkplace hashtag#Empowerment hashtag#ThrivingThroughMenopause

🌸 World Menopause Day – October 18th 🌸 Menopause is a natural phase of life, but for many women, it can be an incredibly challenging experience—often made worse by the lack of support and understanding. Sudden hot flashes, mood swings, sleep disturbances, and other symptoms can make the journey uncomfortable and even frightening for those going through it. Yet, despite how common these symptoms are, there’s still a stigma around openly discussing menopause. On World Menopause Day, let’s break the silence. Women deserve to talk about their experiences without fear or embarrassment, and they should have access to the medical support, resources, and community they need. Menopause is a shared experience, not something to be endured alone. At Upahara, we’re dedicated to supporting initiatives that empower women, including those that provide awareness and care during life stages like menopause. Through philanthropy, we can help create more support groups and resources, ensuring that no woman faces this journey without the help she deserves. Let’s use this day to raise awareness, foster compassion, and advocate for the dignity, health, and well-being of all women. #WorldMenopauseDay #BreakTheStigma #WomensHealth #SupportAndAwareness #MenopauseSupport #Upahara #Philanthropy
