Very interesting to note that playing golf and doing business never goes out of style.

2024 could very well shape up to be Scottie Scheffler’s standout year in professional golf. With his rising momentum, consistent performances, and strong skill set, Scheffler is poised to make a significant impact on the golfing world. His dedication, work ethic, and remarkable talent suggest that he is on the brink of achieving great things in his career. Golf and business share parallels in their strategic intricacies, emphasizing precision, decision-making under pressure, and long-term planning. Both require a combination of skill, focus, adaptability, and resilience to succeed. Conquered the Yorkshire Three Peaks (Almost Didn't !) I finished the iconic Yorkshire Three Peaks fell race last weekend, it was an emotional rollercoaster - as I only just avoided elimination by Three Minutes ! ⏰ It was 24 miles of relentless climbs that had my lungs begging for mercy & brutal descents. But the real drama for me unfolded as I approached the 16-mile mark. This is one of the UK’s most competitive fell races, as such the Cut-Offs times at miles 11 & 16 are no joke. With my legs threatening to give up, it was a test of mental resilience, a constant battle against the voice in my head that said "give up". I reached mile 16 just Three Minutes before the Marshal announced the Cut-Off time was now being enforced. If I had arrived after this time, I would have been eliminated from the race, bundled onto the dreaded Sweeper Bus & declared a DNF (Did Not Finish) along with the other 100+ unfortunate runners who missed the Cut-Off. Staring down the barrel of elimination & facing the fear of missing out on finishing this epic race, I found a strength I never knew I had 💪. An important lesson for me - by pushing through challenges, we discover hidden strengths & surprise ourselves with what we can achieve ! 🏆 It is these strengths that I use to support Strategic Risk & Compliance Consultancy (SRC)'s clients, going the extra mile & ensuring that every minute counts to deliver #VALUE to help them cross the finish line to secure new business on a sound commercial basis - having mitigated their risks & maintained compliance.
