West Region Delivery Team’s Post

"I love a sun burnt country, A land of sweeping plains, Of ragged mountain ranges"... and 140 species of snakes. One of our brave project teams, surrounded by the beautiful bush land of Western Sydney, held an interactive toolbox on being snake-safe, hosted by Andrew Melrose from Live Reptile Displays. Special native guests included the Red Bellied Black snake, the Death Adder, the Tiger Snake, the Eastern Brown and the Diamond Python. You never know what you might find napping in a pipe, slumbering under a roll of geo fabric, or hiding out in a gumboot. Be snake-safe this season. #wrdt #snakesafe (words taken from the poem ‘My Country’ by Dorothea MacKellar)

Not many opportunities in the UK to conduct a ToolBox 🧰 talk on reptiles or spiders. Plus larger mammals birds or other mobile species. 👏👏👏👏 It’s all in the name of the game ……Safe arrival safe departure…..
