Technology. Technology. Technology. I got a M. Ed. In Instructional Design. I'm disappointed that the Capstone was a research paper instead of teaching some of the software tools being used today. Learning theory is important but that's not getting me hired. I found out there are other online programs where you can learn these tools, such as Articulate, and create a portfolio, at a fraction of the cost. If I had known...
There are only 3 degrees today that require a 4 year bachelor's degree: engineering, law and medicine. Everything else can be done through CCs and certificate programs. That includes software engineering. There is barely any need today to spend all that money.
