This is the final year to get compliant with Brianna's Law! Starting January 1, 2025, all operators of mechanically propelled vessels will need a Safe Boating Certificate, regardless of age. Despite some pushback from long-time boaters, the stats don't lie - a majority of boating accidents involve operators over 60 years old with the most hours of experience. While incidents and fatalities decreased last year, there's still progress to be made. Remember, a safe day on the water is a fun day on the water. Ensure you're prepared – take a safe boating course, wear a lifejacket, and boat sober. I don't want to read your accident report. #BoatingSafety #SafeBoatingCourse #NYSParks https://lnkd.in/ei6kdy55
