Feedback I just gave to a pizza place I really, really love.. because I cannot cash in my birthday "dough" because they keep changing their log-in system. (I've removed the name of the pizza place to protect its identity.) ---- Hi there! I've been a loyal customer and HUGE fan of your pizza and salads for many years now. However, I often am ready to place an order then end up canceling it (today is another example) because your company keeps changing the LOG-IN system. First it was ((pizza place name))... then it was adorapos.net.. then hungerrush.com.. and now, it's paytronix? I can't seem signing in and signing UP for the SAME RESTAURANT over and over. I know I've abandoned my cart at least a dozen times.. I've ordered as a "guest" and also ordered through a different ordering app. Honestly, I LOVE your pizza and want to eat lots of it... but my daughter prefers ((other pizza place)), so I'm stuck going to easy - not the BEST - pizza because other apps make it easy. #food #apps #pizza #customerservice

We just sent these pizza box stickers to one of our shops to include in every delivery order. It’s important that consumers are aware of how 3rd party delivery apps work and how much they cost both consumers and shops. Because these apps take up to 30%, shops like Lenny’s Pizza are stuck between absorbing these costs themselves or passing them along to their customers by raising their prices. This is the lose/lose reality for most pizzerias. Shops like Lenny’s Pizza love that you support them. And they don’t want you to stop! But if you already know exactly where you want to order from, ask that shop how they prefer you to order. And if you don’t know, a good rule of thumb is to just order directly on their website. Not only will you pay less, but you’ll help support your local community too. PS, and if you’re ever in south Florida, definitely order a slice from Lenny’s

Do YOU like shopping? Do YOU like walking? YOU probably don't, but I DO. Now I get to do it for MONEY. --- The job is delivery picking. Seasonal. 2 days a week, 6am-3pm. 5-day weekend. Recent order someone was buying all the fixing for a lamb dinner. A catch: No lamb in stock. What else are you supposed to use mint sauce for? I don't know. My little keypad suggested I replace it with beef. I stood in the aisle for a minute wondering about this. Do I even bother? Their dinner plan is probably ruined anyway. I got them the beef. Better than nothing, right? Many such cases. Whenever I have to make substitutions at this job I wonder what kind of wrench I've thrown this time. Sometimes people also mark "no substitutions" on the most stupid stuff. 500g Blueberries, nothing else will do. I could give you 2x250g packets, but you said no subtitute. Can't tell the app otherwise. No blueberries for you. --- Going from database/application configurator to regular user, I have new insights on some stuff. A few weeks ago while moving I accidentally bought two TV stands, but thankfully only one arrived. I let the company know about this, and over the phone they processed my refund. I heard the guy on help desk say something like "I'll just write not delivered here", and the refund went through for the second TV stand. Few days later the second TV stand arrived. I wondered whether they'd notice, and they didn't. I can only assume that the Reason for Refund is a string-based input that can't be easily audited by their standard error-catching processes, or maybe it's just not worth time chasing up what could just be errors in those processes. Either way, free TV stand. --- The Tesco scanning app for delivery picking is really nice. No complaints. You can even suggest changes to the configuration within the app as you go, for items misplaced on shelves. Maybe this goes to the admin and they update it. As I go around trying to keep my pick rate per hour up, I feel like this would make the kind of game that anxious shut-ins with 9-5 fomo would call a 'cozy game'. If it played with the top-down perspective of the original Grand Theft Auto, it could fit in nicely with Moving Out! or Overcooked. You could get side quests to help customers, build rapport with regular NPCs. If this job was a game, the hardest challenge is the normal one: talking to people. Every now and then a gran will come by and make a joke or a comment about something and I have to pass a quick time event to come up with a competent response that doesn't make me seem unsociable, even though I'd been doing nothing but pick up onions for an hour beforehand. That's all.

If you are getting fast food, use an app. Even McDonald's is getting expensive. A double cheeseburger is 3.19. But if you use the McDonald's app, you can get 2 for 1 double cheeseburger, which cuts the price in half to $1.60. Then you also get a credit on the app equal to 10 percent for future free stuff dropping the price to $1.54, then you pay on a cash back credit card like the Verizon card and get an additional 4 percent credit towards your cell phone bill dropping the price to $1.48. So if you are just ordering off the menu and paying cash or using a debit card you are paying 2.15 times as much. Wendy's app has, and may still have, a Thursday special on a Dave's double cheeseburger for $2, regularly $7.49. You can't even buy 8 ounces of hamburger for $2, let alone the bun, condiments, etc. Plus 10 percent of the $2 counts towards your in app credits towards free food. Hardee's gives you credit towards free food, but no specials worth talking about. They do have an option to scan in your receipts to get credit for future purchases, so in theory you could scrounge around the parking lot and probably get enough points for a free meal. Dairy Queen has Buy one get one blizzards this week, their specials change each week.

Nespresso UK Trigger: Cupboard space almost full with pods. Objective: Get pods picked up. Task: Go to app and follow instructions to recycle pods for collection. Desired outcome: Receive a notification saying I've been successful and I have a date to input in calender. 'Copy & Paste following link into browser' The problem is, you haven't allowed customers to do this. This means I have to now work a lot harder to achieve my outcome! Can you put this job in your backlog and get a quick fix for customers... it's not that difficult to ammend...

Meal planning often feels daunting and mentally exhausting, especially when approached from the endpoint.
