Another #whistleblower raised concerns in the #PublicInterest, was fired and blacklisted. This happens all the time. Legal proceedings will take years, with less than a 4% chance of success due to the cost, complexity and inherent unfairness of a #justice system which favours those who can afford expensive lawyers prepared to game the system, as seen in the #Horizon scandal. If the #public want to be warned of issues with #technology, then the law urgently needs to change and must include real #sanctions, including prison, for those who #retaliate and #coverup. #Tech and #AI is increasingly impacting our lives. We need #SafeTech in #cars, the #NHS, #Finance and all other industries. Gareth Snell, MP, and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group Whistleblowing will introduce a Ten Minute Rule Bill for an #OfficeoftheWhistleblower in #Parliament today. Please send an email to your MP asking them to support it. WhistleblowersUK Georgina Halford-Hall Alison McDermott FCIPD Dr Chris Day Lee Castleton
Sorry to hear this, brother! Despite the turmoil and hell the implicated have cause d to your life, just remember that your actions will make corporations ‘think twice’ when dealing with Whistleblowers. That would be enough of me! #ProtectWhistleblowers #DidItForAllOfYou #DoWhatRight
Sorry this barbaric rubbish happens to people

1moThis attitude towards people who raise safety concerns is also widespread in #healthcare. In addition to the #whistleblowers we hear about there is a hidden army of people who raised concerns, were silenced, blacklisted and did not take legal action. People who took early retirement, left their jobs on health grounds, emigrated, or changed careers. All because of corporate psychopathy, which includes the vast amount of funds that are spent silencing whistleblowers. A change in the law is needed to end this. It's a systemic silent killer (I make no apologies for repeatedly sharing this blog): https://medicinegovorgmedlearn-innovation-event-nhs.blog/2023/10/13/the-systemic-silent-killer-ending-the-stigma-around-whistleblowing-in-healthcare/ #law #ethics #accountability #NHS #socialcare #patientsafety
