Insightful!! Running a Shopify development agency with over 5 years of experience, I’ve learned to avoid common pitfalls that can harm both client relationships and business growth. Early on, we made mistakes that not only frustrated clients but also hindered long-term partnerships. To prevent this, we prioritize clear communication from the start, carefully reviewing project details before making any commitments. While we aim for strong results, we always remind clients that some improvements will only be seen after launching the new design. Our process is thorough, beginning with a complete prototype built in Figma. This allows us to catch and resolve most issues before proceeding. Once the design is approved, we translate it into a fully custom Shopify theme. We also assign a dedicated developer or team to each project, ensuring clients know exactly who they’re working with. Personally, I stay involved in every project until launch to make sure clients have a seamless experience and no challenges are overlooked.

Not everything needs to be on your homepage... As the most important and (usually) the most visited page, it's tempting to cram in as much information as possible onto your homepage. But this approach does more harm than good. The homepage's primary goal is to clearly and concisely communicate whether visitors are in the right place to address their needs and find solutions. It shouldn't act as a secondary navigation. Once visitors understand that you can help them, they'll naturally explore your website further through the main navigation. So, by simplifying your homepage to highlight only the most crucial information, you'll make your entire website work harder. If your homepage feels a little light, that's probably a good thing. It means you've been selective and only presented the essential details buyers need to see initially. Let the rest of your site provide the depth and detail they need.

Speed up your website and see the difference! Making a website fast can be tricky. Everyone wants their site to load quickly, but not everyone knows how to make that happen. One big problem is when websites take too long to show up. This can make visitors leave even before they see what you have to offer. A good trick is to use newer image formats like AVIF or WebP. They make pictures smaller in size but still look good, so your website loads faster. How do you speed up your site?
