Healing doesn’t mean letting go of your loved one or leaving them behind—it means finding ways to carry their love and memory with you as you move through life. Their presence is woven into who you are, guiding you in ways big and small. This season, take time to reflect on how their love continues to shape your journey: 💖 What lessons or values did they pass on to you? 💖 How do you see their influence in the choices you make or the love you give to others? Grief often opens a path to deeper gratitude—gratitude for the time you shared, the memories that remain, and the way their love continues to inspire you. Honor those feelings by embracing the parts of them that live within you. 💭 How can you let their memory inspire an act of kindness or love this season? Healing isn’t about erasing the pain—it’s about carrying both grief and love in your heart and allowing that love to be a steady light on your journey forward. 💕 #CarryingLoveForward #HealingJourney #GriefAndGrowth #HonoringMemory

this week’s Substack, "belonging: desire for connection," wanders into personal territory as well as asking “what does belonging mean to you?” Grief and Joy are part of the journey, of course. i hope you head over and ponder your own ideas about belonging. and, as always, i hope you are taking tender care of your heart. “i needed this upswell of Joy, for a lot has been stirring. folks close to me have had a death or illness of loved ones wrapping them in sorrow. one of my mentors, someone who had a tremendous influence on how i engage in my call, died last week. and there have been other losses in my heart-circle, some a little farther out but still within outstretched-arms reach. i feel as though i’m swimming in a pool of loss. i find myself needing to nap in the middle of the day. i remind myself to offer kindness to my own heart. to stop and rest. […] “amid Grief heaviness, i’ve been pondering the concept of “belonging.” it is a topic i spiral back to over and over again. i think it is tangled in my bones. belly. breath. blood. circulating through me even in childhood. a deep need to belong. i was one of those “late bloomers” wondering why “everyone” else seemed to have “it” (whatever “it" was at the time) all figured out. they were probably as clueless as i was, but somehow “looked” more put together. […] “Joy called me over on a walk yesterday, arms stretched toward azure Sky. nothing was said, just simple assurance that Joy was present, even in the atmospheric currents of Grief.” #griefjourney #griefsupport #grief #belonging #spiritualcompanion #spiritualdirection #pandemic #covid19 #joyfulmoments #sorrow #connection #connectionmatters #nurtureyourjourney #currentsofgrief #deathanddying #substack #mentors

Gratitude and Ho’oponopono together create a powerful synergy for healing and transformation. Gratitude shifts our focus from what is lacking to what is abundant, opening the heart to joy and appreciation. It builds a foundation of positivity, allowing us to see opportunities even in challenges. At times, challenging thoughts resurface—not to defeat us but to test our growth and strength. By practicing Ho’oponopono, these thoughts lose their grip, and peace flows effortlessly. It’s a reminder to embrace forgiveness and gratitude as tools for transformation. This topic was at the essence of my being and while I was weiting about inner child, it pop up again. Might as well share something I am passionate about : Reflections on Life, Death, and Purpose About 10 years ago, I came across an article on death therapy, and it profoundly changed the way I view life. Life’s ultimate truth is simple: where there is birth, there will be death. Yet, in many cultures, death remains a taboo—a subject we avoid because it confronts our impermanence. It’s natural to resist this idea while we’re busy chasing goals, dreams, and fulfillment. But the fact remains: we come into this world with nothing, and we leave the same way. What is life really about, then? Life is a journey of challenges, growth, and lessons. Every single one of us faces this, whether we choose it or not. Our bodies are like leasehold properties—vessels for the soul, energy, or whatever animates us. When the lease expires, we leave this physical form behind and move on. Different religions and philosophies interpret this transition in their own ways, shaped by culture and belief. There’s no absolute right or wrong, just perspective. I’ve faced my fair share of struggles. There were moments I wanted to give up, to disappear, and let life move on without me. But my 12-year journey of self-discovery taught me this: to break free from recurring patterns and pain, I need to face and resolve them in this lifetime. So, I chose to stay. I chose to face the challenges, no matter how hard they seemed. As a coach, people sometimes expect me to have it all figured out. But the truth is, coaches are human too. We’ve had our struggles, and many of us chose this path because we’ve turned our pain into purpose. By sharing our experiences, we hope to help others navigate their own challenges, fostering empathy, resilience, and compassion in those we support. I’ve also taken a step to give back in the most profound way possible—I am an organ donor. This decision reminds me that even in death, we can contribute to life. For me, it’s a reflection of my gratitude for this journey and a way to ensure that my story can inspire hope and healing for others. What about you? Are you afraid of dying? If you are, know that you’re not alone. And if life ever feels so overwhelming that you want to give up, please hold on. Remember this: those who hurt you don’t care, but the ones who care about you would never want to see you hurt. Take your time, rebuild your strength, and face the world again. If it feels too heavy to carry alone, reach out for help. There are people who care—friends, family, coaches, or even helplines. You don’t have to face your journey alone. Life is beautiful, even when it feels unbearable. Stay. Complete your story. You are stronger than you think. Let’s walk this path together. Feel free to reach out and we can talk. #peggyang868 #lifejourney9 #masteringourdestiny #Reflections #Purpose #LifeLessons #Empathy #OrganDonation #CoachingJourney
