Here's something I've learned from working in this industry... It’s not just about what’s in the glass, it’s about the people you share it with. Whether it’s at a local taproom or a neighborhood pub, craft beer has a way of bringing people together and creating community. That is what matters most. Selling beer is one thing, but being part of something bigger...connecting with people, building relationships...that’s the real reward. If you’re supporting local, know that you’re helping create more than just a sale. You’re helping build a stronger community and we can all cheer to that! 🍻 #CraftBeerCommunity #SupportLocal #SalesWithValues #CommunityMatters #BackswingBrewing #ForABetterRoundofBeer
Craft beer isn’t just about flavor; it’s about community and connection. When you enjoy a pint from your local brewery, you're supporting more than just a business, you’re helping foster a place where people gather, share stories, and create memories. At Backswing Brewing, we’re proud to be part of that tradition. Every beer we brew is made with care, not just for the craft, but for the people who share it with us. Cheers to good times, great company, and a stronger community. 🍺 Stop by, grab a pint, and let’s raise a glass to what really matters. #SupportLocal #CraftBeer #CommunityMatters #CheersToGoodTimes #BackswingBrewing #NECraftBeer #BackswingBrewing #ForABetterRoundofBeer

Let's talk about one of my favorite Spice traditions - turning leftovers into staff meals! Carlos transformed the leftover Cavs team meal into our staff feast, and holy smokes, did he deliver! Here's the thing, at Spice, feeding our team isn't an afterthought - it's a core value. Every day, no exceptions. Because let's be real - how can we talk about quality food if we're not taking care of our own people first? And watching our crew get creative with leftovers? That's where the real magic happens. Zero waste, maximum flavor, and a team that breaks bread together stay together. To my fellow restaurateurs: How are you taking care of your team? Because trust me, it all starts with a good meal. #StaffMeal #ZeroWaste #FeedYourTeam

Fall will be here before we know it — and that’s peak event season. 🍂 Here are five genuinely unique, fun field marketing ideas you should consider hosting: 1️⃣ Biergarten/Winery + dogs Rent out a bar that allows dogs and have guests bring their furry friends. I know one guest that would attend in Indy 👀 Peep Remi, our Bernedoodle 🐶 2️⃣ Cooking class Book a class that focuses on making fall dishes with in-season ingredients — squash, pumpkins, apples, cinnamon, etc. 3️⃣ A panel + pickleball Host panel content, followed by a pickleball tournament. (I just might steal this one.) 4️⃣ Wine tasting Tour 2-3 different wineries and provide a luxury shuttle to take people around for the evening. 5️⃣ A private boat dinner Headed to Boston or San Francisco? Rent a private boat for an evening. #fieldmarketing

Check out the latest "Why I Brew" video by our friends at Briess Malt & Ingredients Co. featuring our talented brewers and brewery founder!
We are thrilled to share the fifth video in our “Why I Brew” campaign, featuring Gary Fish, Owner/Founder of Deschutes Brewery! 🍻 When we asked Gary why he brews with Briess, he replied, “For the last 35 years, Black Butte Porter has been the best-selling porter in the nation. And Briess has been a key component of that success.” → View the entire '𝗪𝗵𝘆 I 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘀' video below. https://lnkd.in/gnNvjTmQ #brewingwithbriess #whyibrew #briessmalt #briess #deschutes #craftbrewery #craftbeer

Friend: "Hey Paddy - I saw Lind & Lime on Sunday Brunch" Me: "No, you didn't, someone has knocked off our bottle." Friend: "But...I did, though I didn't know you did tequila." Me: "We don't, the bottle has been copied." Friend: "Surely nobody would do something so blatant?" Me: "I admire your faith in the integrity of the business community." Friend: "Presumably it must be a tiny company that's never seen you?" Me: "No, it was BrewDog. They're very aware of us." Friend: "This will get fixed by law and stuff, right?" Me: "I admire your faith in the administration of justice."
First I thought Lind & Lime Gin was on TV! Then I realised it wasn't Lind & Lime. It's a knock-off. Finally, I discovered it's a tequila bottled by a fellow Scottish company called BrewDog. And that really ruined my weekend. I know we are all inspired to some extent by other brands, but this crosses that line with two middle fingers waving merrily in the air. They knew we'd notice, but simply don't care because they're a massive company and we're not. The Scottish drinks industry is an incredibly friendly, collaborate space. We all have many other challenges to deal with and we shouldn't be doing this to each other. #gin #tequila #scotland #brewdog

PART 2: Building on my comments from yesterday regarding the Brewers Association Harris Poll Results shifts us into a demographic slice. Below shows who's drinking more or less #craftbeer this year vs last and compares that to the same results about a decade ago. Then splits those results by classic demographic measures. What we see very clearly is a shifting landscape. 1. There are 32% - 37% drops in all age brackets for intent to drink more craft. WOW 2. College grads are the only demo in that slice intending to drink more 3. Black and Hispanic drinkers are still drinking more craft So what do we do? 1. Start by thinking about WHO SHOULD be drinking craft beer differently. I touched on this yesterday. Broaden occasions outside of traditional craft occasions AND protect the turf we've fought for. Don't just paint yourself on a cultural occasion or ad opportunity - ENGAGE 2. Simplify marketing around communication that MATTERS to consumers. Where / when and why they would enjoy what you offer. Less about process and ingredient details - caveat: if you are a technical brewery looking to talk to beer geeks exclusively then this would not work for you and that's ok. 3. Think about price perception and value proposition. This is a great way to turn the tides in people who think craft beer is too expensive. The $28 4-packs over the past couple of years did not help price perception. We need to reclaim beer's value prop. Other ideas? https://lnkd.in/e5hkDEhK

🍻 Happy Friday, #LostGardenCommunity! 🍻 Today, let's show some love to our unsung heroes - the MICROBREWERS! For those of you shaking your heads, we all know who they are - the genuine artists who take pride in their craft, making every bit of the pint you enjoy as nuanced as a Mozart symphony 🎵 🍺 WHY CELEBRATE THEM? • PROLIFIC CREATIVITY: The variety of craft beers today is simply mindboggling! Variety is the spice of life and our beloved microbrewers are literal spice merchants, cooking up concoctions that twist our taste buds into unimaginably delightful knots! • LOCAL PRIDE: These small-scale brewers add a vibrant touch to our local communities. Their unique, locally influenced, and - dare I say - quirky beers provide a sense of belonging and take locally sourced to a whole new level!🌍 • PERSONAL: Every microbrewer has a story, a inspiration drawn from life that spins into their brew. Every sip of their craft beer is a sneak peek into who they are. It’s like reading a book, one gulp at a time! 📚 🍺 HOW CAN WE SUPPORT THEM? • TRY, TRY, TRY: Taste their work. Explore. Find your favorite amongst the haystack. Not liking the first, second, or even third beer does not mean there isn't a perfect one waiting for your taste buds! • SPILL THE BEANS: Share your experience, let others know. Believe me, word-of-mouth is gold for these micro magicians. 🗣️ • COLLABORATE: If you own a restaurant or a retail business, why not consider collaborating with a local microbrewery? Not only will it support local, but it will also enrich your offering. Everyone wins! 🤝 Just like a garden's beauty blooms with diverse flowers 🌺🌼💐, the world of beer becomes infinitely more exciting and colourful with our audacious microbrewers. It's high time we stepped away from the 'macro' and embraced the ‘micro’ world - a world where each drop has a story to tell. Here's to raising a glass in the name of diversity, creativity, and locality. Here's to our microbrewers. 🍻 #MicroBrewers #CraftBeer #SupportLocalBusinesses
