How do you explain what is circular economy? How do you make packaging circular? It can sound as vague terms, but it can be explained and followed by quite easy. We need to decouple consumption growth from waste generation. If we, as individuals or as organizations, try to reuse or recycle materials we use, we can make a significant difference. [Packaging] Waste minimization or, even more ambitiously, elimination is our number one priority at Avery Dennison Together with Mutlu Cavusoglu we visited #MBORijnland Bio Science programme to share with students our sustainability journey. It's useful to see the perspective of the new generation on sustainability. #Circulareconomy #circularpackaging #sustainability

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆: 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 Wow! 🌊 I'm blown away by Zerocircle's innovative approach to sustainability. Their journey from seaweed to eco-friendly solutions is truly inspiring! As I delved into their story, I couldn't help but feel excited about the potential of ocean-positive materials. From biodegradable films to tree-free paper, Zerocircle is revolutionizing how we think about packaging and everyday products. 📦 What impresses me most is their commitment to a zero-waste future. By harnessing the power of seaweed - a resource that requires no land, freshwater, or human intervention to grow - they're creating a truly circular economy. 🔄 Neha J.'s vision of making a zero-waste lifestyle "as easy as instant noodles" resonates deeply with me. It's clear that Zerocircle isn't just a company; it's a movement towards a more sustainable tomorrow. ♻️ I'm inspired by their success and can't wait to see how their innovations continue to shape our world. Each month Brevity sets a sustainability challenge for the team. Last month was all about decluttering. Recycling or repurposing items that you no longer use. Past challenges have included 'Do I really need to buy this' which ultimately reduces long-term decluttering needs. Did you know that DualCure is a sustainable choice for several reasons? Of course, we often talk about sustainability in relation to raw materials on this channel, but there are more factors that make a product sustainable. DualCure protects an object for its entire economic life, thus requiring minimal maintenance. It provides optimal protection with very thin layers (up to 60% less film thickness), which means less paint is needed. And also due to a high solids content and cold cure properties, DualCure contributes to the reduction of the global footprint and lower VOC emissions. That's what you want, right?

With climate change and sustainability so high on the global agenda, it’s easy to become confused by the influx of information that we’re exposed to each and every day. 🌍 Many households are making conscious efforts to reduce the amount of food and consumer goods packing they use, or switch to more environmentally friendly alternatives, but what impact is it really having? Are we switching to the best alternatives? Are we effectively reducing our carbon footprint? Is there even such a thing as good packaging? Fresh from solving some of the world’s biggest mysteries, we’re delighted to welcome our guest blogger, Myth Marple. Over the coming weeks, Myth Marple will be casting her inquisitive eye over commonly held beliefs about packaging, and, using her unique investigative intuition, she will be exposing some of the biggest packaging myths, such as... ✅ Sustainability and low carbon are the same thing. ✅ 'Environmentally friendly' means lower carbon and a higher level of sustainability. ✅ Recyclability is a good measure of the 'environmental friendliness' of packaging. ✅ Cardboard is good for the planet. ✅ Plastic is bad for the planet. ...plus many more. Watch this space for more information and insight! 👀 Are there any packaging myths that you'd like Myth Marple to investigate?
