Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional injury death worldwide, and a substantial cause of morbidity and mortality in Canada. With approximately 460 people dying from drowning in Canada each year, it's important to take safety precautions as we enter boating season. One simple action you can take to protect yourself and others is to wear a lifejacket. But how exactly do lifejackets save lives? They provide buoyancy in unexpected or emergency situations, allowing you to stay afloat and avoid drowning. This can be especially important if you're fatigued, injured, or not a strong swimmer. So, what's the best kind of lifejacket? The one that you're wearing. Make sure you have a properly fitting lifejacket and wear it at all times when you're on or near the water. By doing so, you'll not only protect yourself but also those around you. Let's make this boating season a safe one for everyone. #CanadianCoastGuardAuxilliary #BoatSafety #WaterSafety #Safety #DrowiningPervention

Winter can be unforgiving, especially when it comes to your RV. But by winterizing your RV now, you’ll be taking proactive steps to protect your investment and ensure a stress-free start to the next camping season. Here’s why winterizing with us is the smart choice: - Protect Your RV’s Water Lines & Pipes: Winterizing now ensures your RV’s plumbing is drained, treated, and fully protected, preventing issues before they start. A small investment now could save you from thousands in repair bills later. - Keep Rodents & Pests Out: Winter isn’t just hard on your RV—it’s the time when rodents and other pests seek warmth and shelter. Your RV, unfortunately, is the perfect cozy spot for them to nest. By properly sealing your RV during winterization, you’ll be blocking any entry points and preventing critters from moving in. - Extend the Lifespan of Your RV: Proper winterization helps your RV last longer by preventing wear and tear during the off-season. By taking care of your RV now, you’re setting it up for a long and healthy life—ready to hit the road as soon as warm weather returns.
