In order for someone to gain access into a building, whether it be for commercial or residential usage, one must procure what is called a “certificate of occupancy.” A "certificate of occupancy" is a legal document that certifies a building is safe and ready to be used, by verifying the structure complies with local building codes, usage regulations, and safety requirements. In a spiritual sense, there is something very similar that must occur before occupancy occurs in God’s house. He too has building requirements that must be met before His (eternal) habitation is permitted...

Earlier this year, the government introduced updates to Approved Document B, which requires multi-storey buildings over 18 meters tall to have a second staircase.
