This may be controversial but more isn’t always better, especially when it comes to your podcast. Here’s why: If you’re putting out an episode very other week, and pulling in pretty good listener numbers, the WORST thing you could do is commit to two episodes a week instead. That’s a recipe for disaster, and the best way to make you feel overwhelmed and burnt out. Instead, focus on making your content even better. Develop your hosting skills. Invest in a higher production value for your show. Start creating more content from each episode to keep your listeners engaged between episodes. Those things will be far more rewarding than trying to cram your schedule with more episodes. You’re welcome 🤷♂️

Podcast Intros are super important. They reflect the overall tone and key insights into the podcast episode, giving the listener a better understanding of what they will be investing their time listening to. Your intro should include: 🎙️The title of your podcast 🎙️The title of your episode 🎙️The episode number 🎙️Your name (and guest names if relevant) 🎙️Bespoke music 🎙️Key insights about the episode ⠀ Your intro, alongside your cover art and show description, is what helps attract your listeners so making time to get these right is vital! ---------------- Don't have time to get creating the perfect intro and cover art for your podcast? If you started a podcast, what would it be about? Creating an idea for a podcast is easy, creating an idea that has legs is hard. For example, I could start a podcast about Tom's incredibly funny and intellectual musings, but after the second episode I'd be struggling for content...🤣 When you have an idea, map out the first 12 episodes...if you can't do that then you may need to head back to the drawing board or open another bottle of rum and let the creativity flow... Is it a topic that generates enough content for it to have longevity? Is it self-sustaining in terms of news and updates? Is the idea scalable or adaptable enough as the seasons pass? I'd love to hear your ideas so bung them in the comments!

The holidays are a time to recharge and reset, but for podcasters, the struggle is real. 🎙️ What if my audience thinks I’ve quit? What if I lose momentum? How can I possibly create extra episodes to cover the break? If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. Taking time off without letting your podcast go dark is a common challenge, but it’s totally doable. In my latest episode, I share two effective ways to keep your podcast running while you take a break: ✅ Republish old episodes with a fresh intro and outro. ✅ Create a “best of” episode by curating content from your archive. The best part? These strategies take a fraction of the time compared to creating something from scratch. Don’t let your podcast hold you back from enjoying the holidays.
