However, make sure the load is high enough to avoid contact with the ground. ❗ Never dig underneath the excavator when working on a bench or berm. ❗ Never drive along a ditch or excavation too closely due to potential collapse. ❗ Never ride or carry anyone in the bucket of the machine. Ever struggle to adjust your excavator flow rates for duel flow attachments? 🚧 This can become complicated for many operators who don’t use these type of digger accessories often. So, to prevent wasting valuable time ⏱️, let’s get you up and running! First, you must ensure that your excavator and attachment are compatible. You’ll find both components' max pressure and flow rates in the operator's handbooks. 📖 If you are ever unsure, it’s always best to ask your supplier. Then couple your attachment after venting your auxiliary circuits. DON’T FORGET to do that one! ✅ Start by performing an initial test. Turn the digger on and ramp up the revs. Engage your auxiliary hydraulics and see how the attachment performs. Each auxiliary has its own flow rate, therefore, you may need to make some small adjustments to grant optimum performance. 🎛️ To make these changes, you’ll need to jump onto the equipment onboard computer, select auxiliary settings and make small adjustments to suit your attachment needs. See an example of how we do it on this Kubota UK 6T KX60-5 in this video. 👆 Once you have made those small adjustments, SAVE 💾 your settings. Think you’re clued up on how to change a 3T Excavator bucket? You might not have seen this one before! 🤩 Our 3T Excavators all now house a fully hydraulic quick coupler. Which we’re pretty sure our clients are all going to love. Why? These seamless hitches make changing digger attachments fast 💨 and labour-free. 🛑 We’ve installed Geith International Ltd. quick couplers which we’ve found to be idyllic for a machine of this size. These hitches are manufactured from extra high-strength steel, delivering the muscle to get the job done. ✅ So how do they work? First, scrap the bars, pins and safety locks, we’ll do this all from the cab. 💺 Have your excavator running on low revs. Turn on the coupler controls in your cabin, then select unlock. Curl your bucket all the way around and hold till the spring and pins release. 🕹️ Lower your bucket to the floor and select your new attachment. Once coupled up, lock the hitch with the lock button on the keypad, then finish up by curling the bucket once again to ensure the pins lock correctly. Also, don’t forget to test before continuing your work. 💯 What difference do you feel quick couplers will have to the way you work?
