There's so many things these days that we're stressed out about that causes anxiety in our lives. So one thing is what happens in the future. You know what's gonna happen to us and our economy and our country and to our family. So one thing I want you to consider is having an estate plan that will give you such Peace of Mind that your wishes and your desires for your family and your assets are well taken care of and everyone will be able to rest easy after that decision is made. You can't plan for the future, but you can plan for the inevitable. So you need an estate plan.

This was an ad for a new estate south of Perth in the weekend paper. It is a useful illustration of many of the things that are wrong with WA's planning system. Let me start with a couple and please feel free to add: 1. Complete clearing of new development lots. Perhaps Kennedy Bay could change its name to Moonscape Bay. 2. A narrow coastal setback that is failing to plan for sea level rise and coastal erosion. 3. Small lots with big houses and no room for a large tree. What else?
